Ahhhhh.....a proper F1 engine.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI would never turn off my car if it was this complicated to turn on
Ответитьyoure only as good as your sponsors..
ОтветитьI was nearby a Williams FW29 (Alex Wurz 2007 Canada chassis) today when it got started up, those two cars (other one is the Rosberg car) are owned by Rajamäki from Finland but are now equipped with Judd engines. Same start procedure as here in the video but damn it was fun to follow all of it
ОтветитьMy wife also takes a good few hours to get ready but doesn’t cost me anywhere near as much. Win win
ОтветитьI loved Minardi. They where always such the underdog but they worked so very hard for every Euro they had.
ОтветитьRumor has it they use dot matrix printers for the readouts.
ОтветитьOops I turned it off
ОтветитьNot sure why but this is one of the nicest F1 cars I've ever seen!
ОтветитьI don't know why but there's something about 90's F1 cars looks that gets me every time 😍❤️🔥🔝 so beautiful
ОтветитьLet me save you 5 minutes they got to warm the engine first.
ОтветитьSeems like more technology than the first moon shot.
ОтветитьAnd then the driver crashes it in seconds.
ОтветитьThose cars upon till 2008 are the best looking of all time.
ОтветитьRegular car - starts in 2 seconds, takes 1 hour to replace tires.
F1 car - starts in 1 hour, takes 2 seconds to replace tires.
So if you get spun and the car stalls.....you lost the race.
ОтветитьI have on good authority that tolerances are so small on F1 engines to mean that the pistons are seized solid in the cylinders at anything below 60 degrees centigrade. So maybe that is why this specific car did no perform well.
ОтветитьI don't think the Panasonic CF-28 can run windows 95 by default, that machine shipped with Windows 2000 or XP normally,
Unless of course they changed some settings in the firmware.
The M198 with the 99 livery
ОтветитьImagine spending millions to develop and run a car, and then choosing to depend on Windows 95 as a single point of failure in your setup.
ОтветитьHow could something be so high tech its outdated. I just don’t get it.
ОтветитьSmart enough to work on a F1 car, not smart enough to figure out data transfer rates? I think it’s really more of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mentality. They admitted it themselves that they didn’t know if pre heating the engine actually helps but they do it anyways.
Ответитьhow honda civic owners with a laptop feel:
ОтветитьThat sound is worth every second
hard working
What material they use for piston and block sleeve?
ОтветитьCouldn't avoid noticing the Quilmes logo at the sides of the rear spoiler.
Quilmes is a brewery from Argentina "where I'm from". It's crazy I've never noticed something like that before.
That’s crazy about the air controlled valve system!
Ответитьthe joys of a Terrible Ford power unit lmfaoooo
Ответитьi guess it's obvious, but good lord do these techs know their stuff, huge respect
ОтветитьThis Minardi still sounds way better than any current F1 car.... I really miss the sound of those V10's.
ОтветитьAll of that and then get taken out in the first corner mayhem.
ОтветитьSeems like a bad design.
ОтветитьSeems like a lot of hassle when you could just buy a Porsche.
ОтветитьOnly came across your channel about an hour ago and it’s already my favourite one 😆
ОтветитьLate for work again.
ОтветитьThe idea that preheating a race engine was needed never occurred to me until I was in the pits at an American Le Mans Series race and saw them preheating an Audi R10 diesel engine. Then the light bulb over my head turned on.
ОтветитьFantastic video Matt, and a proper old school car! Not a plug, but have a look at my videos for teardowns of some F1 parts of this era. Anyways, keep up the epic vids and greetings from Ireland!
ОтветитьSo it takes Windows 95 running on a 2 inch thick, 25 year old laptop to start this car...
ОтветитьThis is so cool
Thanks for this content !
Do they take all of this equipment onto the grid when the cars are off just before the race starts?
ОтветитьSupercool. So informative!
ОтветитьI say: "Hey Siri, start my car".
Ответитьso basically: this car never placed well and was much slower than everyone else. we need an old, shitty laptop to adjust the car otherwise it doesnt work. car needs to be pre-heated or else itll shit the bed a lot sooner. then, after 2 hours of work, we're able to run a few laps much slower than any other car on the grid at that time...
fantastic!
That car was a beauty.
ОтветитьAh it makes sense now why everyone calls a car a “she” !
ОтветитьWhat a great title…holy
ОтветитьExcellent and concise
ОтветитьTo be fair, even when it was current that car didn’t always start.
Ответитьso the title should be „how long it TOOK“ if they start up faster now, shouldnt it?
Ответить
