Growing up the top bands was hands down Bethune Cookman and FAMU but the past few years JSU and Southern are hands down the top two.

On a more critical note the editing on this video is terrible. The transitions between camera angles really is ruining the video.

I'll be honest... I just searched "black marching band" after seeing a funny Tiktok comparing black and white marching bands. For once, the algorithm got it exactly right because this was the top result. I already knew how outstanding a New Orleans marching band could be and wanted to see that again and I was not disappointed. I was not expecting the babies, though. That was adorable.

Not Pretty Brown Eyes in a field show!!! 😍 I was a Co-Captain in Tall Flags, I was in Drill Team - in Drill we pulled EVERY sweepstakes (parade, field) and 1st Place in Nationals - as a Native Hawaiian I was always drawn to the drum-line (DRUMS are our heartbeats!) learning - & could play a roughneck of our cadence on Quads & do a good Drum Major imitation - but there’s NUTHIN’ like an HBCU Drumline and Marching Band!!! ❤❤ 🔥🔥Dem Drum Majors Tho!
