I wonder why John Madden was commentating the superbowl instead of coaching still..maybe he was far too conservative? You gotta take risk to get rewarded. Nothing worth achieving is absent of risk.

I'm not a Saints fan, but I've never understood how Drew Brees is never mentioned as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play. Drew was awesome to watch and he had a great arm. He threw for over 5000 yards for several seasons, he won a superbowl, so again, I'm not understanding why he is never mentioned as one of the best.

Drew Brees is still the most underrated QB in the NFL. No other QB overcame the same amount of adversity to reach the heights he did.

Wish they could've gotten Peyton for this rather than Favre. Two of the top 3 QBs of all time, and the greatest rivalry ever--even if Brady has lapped Manning at this point.

They named 10 quarterbacks but only 5 of them are actually among the top 10 quarterbacks of all time. The quarterbacks that should be in the top 10 that were missed are Dan Fouts, Steve Young, Y. A, Tittle, Drew Brees and Fran Tarkenton. It is hard to compare quarterbacks from different eras but if you compare how much better they were than the average quarterback of their era then these 5 belong on this list. People need to realize that quarterbacks do not win championships or games. A quarterbacks is the most important player but just one of about 75 on a team if you count the coaches. A quarterback is responsible for about 5-6% of the success or failure of a team. That is less than the offensive line as a whole. That's right the offensive line has more to do with winning and losing games than the quarterback. The defense has about 5 times as much influence on a game as the quarterback, think about it. Break it down. Coaching staff lets say 30% which may be too low. That means 7% for the special teams which means 31.5% for each the offense and defense. Giving the quarterback more than 6% of the offenses 31.5% is just a slap in the face to the other 10 positions. We idolize the quarterback position to the point where we have put one below average quarterback in the Hall of Fame because his team was so great that they carried him to 3 championships. Two other quarterbacks that played on 4 and 5 championship teams should not be in the hall and are only there because they played on great teams. It is the ultimate TEAM game.

CONTEXT Brady 4 out of 5 of the top passing games in SB history including #1- 505 yards and #2- 466 yards. Mahomes 0 I'm a William and Mary Law Grad and current attorney by profession with an impeccable record try and take me on in Court with that factual statistic.

This list is a Joke! Fran Tarkenton is Top 5!!! No Way Staubach is ahead of Tarkenton! Fran had more than Twice the Stats of him. 42 more TD Passes than Elway 69 more TD's than Montana, Also Broke All of Unitas Records! Retired with all the Passing Records and Most Running Yards by a QB. Best Scrambler Ever too.....
