Vegatable oil. ???? Might as well put some 5W-30 on it.
ОтветитьShould never look like that even if using it
ОтветитьDoes anybody just use oil and salt? This works for my discos.
ОтветитьSame. Simple. It works.
Ответитьi never do this for my grill and it looks exactly like yours
ОтветитьI do exactly the same except i don't tirn ot on high i just scrape it clean right then use water to let it boil off excess turn grill off and let the temp fall then oil it while it's still pretty warm.
Ответитьget a silicon cooking cover , don't cook on the grill it self ...
ОтветитьThat grill wasnt hot enough for the water
ОтветитьYou never use a paper towel on cast iron tells me that you dont know what your doing
ОтветитьI’m gonna be real man. You might wanna test the scraper for lead with a lead kit. They’re like $23. There’s a big silent health crisis over lead. And dollar tree doesn’t shy away from still selling lead based things. Love your video.
ОтветитьJust like a cast iron skillet
ОтветитьWhat if you don't have a family 😢
ОтветитьPick something other than veg oil
ОтветитьNice tip
ОтветитьThanks for the info
ОтветитьWhole trick is clean it after EACH USEAGE, then wipe it down with a thin coat of cooking oil. You'll never have a problem.
Another thing you can do which I do every couple of months to my 17" griddle, is put the griddle top itself into your oven and turn it to oven clean.
Comes out like brand new. Then all you need to do, is reason it and keep a thin coat of cooking oil on it.
Just make sure you clean your griddle EACH and EVERY time you cook on it.
I just put mine in the dishwasher.
ОтветитьI use olive oil myself
ОтветитьThe same way I "clean" my cast iron skillets. The only difference is I use shortening and not veggie oil which can go rancid.
ОтветитьI would’ve though he just kept it in his cellar
ОтветитьWhen you go to cook next time, do you put more oil on it or just go ahead just slap burgers on without doing anything else first
ОтветитьAt work we threw a scoop of ice on to it for the de-glazing.
ОтветитьOk but what's going on with your patio railing? Give that some love too
ОтветитьU never clean it 😂😂😂😂🎉
ОтветитьAnd you can do the same thing to a cast iron skillet!!!!
ОтветитьUse coconut oil. Seed oils bad
ОтветитьVery helpful thank you sir
ОтветитьI seasoned my brand new blackstone and cooked on it for the first time yesterday. It was a great cook for first time out, but I have a few spots where teriyaki caused some rough spots. I had a hard time scraping it all away, I got most of it but I can feel it’s still rough when I run a paper towel across it. I did not use water, I heard some conflicting advice but I think that would have done the trick. I’m going to give it a try today.
ОтветитьToo much work
ОтветитьHow come beef tallow isn’t used? Canola oil is basically motor oil. Oh because it’s cheaper & no one thinks about health these days. People are slowly waking up to the lies. Oils like these are not meant to be consumed. Propaganda teaches the vast majority it’s okay to use when in reality they come down with terrible sickness in the end. It takes awhile just like anything but once it’s got you it’s got you & you’re at the mercy of the medical monopoly. They won’t heal you they will only treat your symptoms. Stop using seed oils plz!
ОтветитьI bought one of these things because I thought it would be fun; but after watching how high maintenance they are I think I'm just going to sell it and buy a charcoal grill. lol
Live and learn.
I've had more expensive lessons, that's for sure.
My only problem with these ones it’s they’re so thin they lose all the heat when you cover it in food.
ОтветитьYour bench scraper is a dough slicer
ОтветитьNo different from using and iron cast skillet iykyk
ОтветитьDo NOT consume seed /vegetable oil
ОтветитьYou should try melanin next time
Ответитьhow do you season the edges? I got rust on mine after seasoning while being covered for every rain, I didn't miss one. Southern NH is super humid; would general humidity do it?
ОтветитьExactly what I do. Except I rub mine with a wet rag after I spray it with water. Then, I coat with oil, then turn off. Rub the oil in. I don't have a soft cover, just a hard cover/lid.
ОтветитьThat really all he does. That’s it, just those things.
Ответитьlost me at vegetable oil. lard works 100xs better for seasoning skillets and flat tops. avocado oil works reallly good too
ОтветитьYou need a grill brick!
ОтветитьThat’s what they teach you when you buy it. Nothing new here. I do the exact same thing and it looks exactly like yours. That’s why I love the Blackstone. Easy peasy
ОтветитьI couldn't do it. Too much trouble. I go somewhere eat a good burger. Give them 10 dollars and walk away.
ОтветитьI just scrape mine off, then wipe it down with olive oil 🤷♂️
ОтветитьNicely done keep it clean all the time
ОтветитьNo grillstone for you, eh?
ОтветитьI salute you for your diligence!!
ОтветитьDo you need any degreaser to clean it ??? Or just water
ОтветитьYou should switch to olive oil
ОтветитьThis is the same routine I use, works like a charm
