Just cleaned the PS5 its easy to do n everyone can do it.

One thing I don’t understand

Stckdrift is the main controller problem however you have to take apart the entire controller to get to the sticks

I just recently had to clean my PS5 after using it for 6 months without and it was a nightmare because of how much dust there was. My room gets dusty really easily so I think I’m going to have to start cleaning it once a month. But I always put it off because I never cleaned my ps4 until just last year (I’ve only had it since 2019) and it was really hard to do because I had to completely take it apart to get at the fan. I’m so glad they made it easier to clean the ps5

i cleaned it every 3 months of so. I have a dust cover too.😊

I’ve had my PS5 since day one and I had never opened it for two years but when I did, it was clean because I don’t play mine that much but my son who got his three weeks later, he opened his and it was horrendous because that’s all he does

I often clean dust out every month

He didn’t show how to remove the plates

Why mine is so hard to remove its been 4 months i haven't clean and i might break it

Don't forget about the heat sync's either. They can attract alot of dust.

I found if you take it, fill your bathtub with hot water and bleach, toss it in for a few hours. Cleans all those hard to reach places. Make sure it's unplugged. You don't wanna get shocked.

What about the GPU ports? I have a feeling mine are really dirty and that is probably the reason my PS5 keeps shutting off by itself

Is cool! I use a dust cover when not in use. Then i take an air duster, then gently dust the vents. Im good.this is for people who don't take the time to regularly clean their consoles

Do you lose the guarantee on that thing if you clean it like shown? Cuz it was like this on the old gen and I for sure don't wanna lose mine.

After a year and a handful of times of basic dusting with just taking the covers off and spraying comp duster, i finally got around to unscrewing the fan to clean it along with the inside and im glad i did, when i sprayed the inside of the system with the comp duster towards the cooling vents the ps5 farted a big dust cloud.

Lmao i refuse to buy this console until they make a more practical shaped version, who thought the design with the two white outer plates was a good idea

I got a mesh filter, and usb fans to cool from the outside so the internal fan doesn't need to cranknup.

A lot of people don’t realise lots of dust can be mitigated by using a dust cover. Whenever your not using the ps5 just slot the cover on top and it’s prevent at least 80% of the dust build up over time. 😊

I’d also recommend a 5$ can of compressed air from like office works it’ll blast out any crap n dust you can’t go wrong, it’s as safe as. Plus it’ll last ½ dozen cleans…

Any owner of a ps5 should upgrade there internal storage to a crucial P5 plus or similar as load times are remarkably noticeable. I also order 5$ multi colored Bluetooth lights with 250+ combinations modes from Ali express & looks awesome. Zero signs of dust so didn’t need a clean…

I used a can of air-spray to clean my PS5 because I found out sometime last week that it was filthy inside. Useful video though. Thanks a lot!! I’ll add it to my Watch Later list so I can refer back to it in the future.

There is literally 0 reasons to open your PS5 if you clean your house regularly and you’re not a smoker. The dust will be hardly noticeable, I just opened my 2 years old PS5 to expand storage and there was barely any dust built up and certainly not enough to justify opening the console to clean it. If your PS5 has enough dust built up to be a problem maybe you should consider cleaning your room first.

Who tf doesnt clean there Console (or even PC) every 2 month ?

I don‘t even use the side-plates cuz it‘s more minimalistic/smaller smother and the air-duster get‘s better air. My air duster looks like it has never run. I did also modified a little bit with led lights and some stickers. Without plates it fits also better into a bag if you want to take it with you to a friend :)

I think its good for everyone who has any sort of console or pc to just clean out their systems like once a month thats what i do at least.

I've had my Series X since launch day. Not once have I needed to take it apart and blow piles of dust out of the damn thing. And it's on daily. I take it with me on the road. PS fan boys will keep defending this dumpster fire of a console like someone insulted their first born.

Ok since it wasn't mentioned in the video; DO NOT clean the fan by blowing/sucking air and lettering the fan SPIN. Always keep the fan so it won't spin.
