bans these bikers for going 140 mph yet the police officer goes faster, being on a bike is dangerous enough and they all seemed to be trying to mind their own business. put this much effort into motorcycle thives but that isn't profitable. people pay tax towards the government to make the country better i don't see fining riders for speeding and then letting thives do what ever they want

okay please correct me if i'm wrong but in this video the cop is chasing at 140mph, then slows down to 70-80 when nearing the bikers and maxes out at about 95 when riding between them/chasing the lead biker, surely by that logic he's the only one going at dangerous speeds since we all know that motorcyclists are more likely to be safe going at about 90mph on a motorway

I'm confused. Everyone around the bikes were doing atleast 110-120mph for them to be passed by so slowly. If that's the case then 150 should also be fine? Unless they got pulled over for going like 75-80... that would make contextual sense. It would also make sense why the motorcyclist actually slowed down instead of ran.

The video title read's, chase's, but they are not running from him, they are just going at their own speed. Maybe he can't catch some of the fast guys when they do go.

Wanker cop...he was traveling way over double the speed limit and almost rode into the back of those bikes! The 5 bikes were traveling at a speed only slightly faster than the general car traffic. Safely, in my opinion, to avoid getting rear ended by some muppet not paying attention whilst fiddling with his/her entertainment system! If anyone here was riding dangerously, it was the gung-ho cowboy cop! Complete police state overreach...

That officer had to go much faster , And that was much riskier, then the group of motorcycles that were riding together not much faster than the surrounding cars
there is a technicality here. The camera lost sight of those motorcycles that the officer was chasing. In court,, this video is useless because it did not maintain contact with the suspected violators. This would be thrown out. This is why you hire an attorney when you are fighting to keep your license..

It does amaze me how the police can clearly break the law (by dangerously undertaking) to ensure the law is followed. Can any bobbies out there put me in my place. I know it must be the case as you see it on police camera action all the time.

So i get passed by drivers doing 80-90 all the time obviously not ok in the eyes of the law and weaving around cars like that not ok. An unmarked bike that's just hit those speeds to catch up, then riding that close in a group of riders, unless the riders in uniform id be staying the hell away from that guy. Fairly sure something in the highway code about not stopping without lights and such. Also we forgetting the car in front with bikes on doing the same speeds as the bikes?
Can only assume these guys have done something more serious other than a lack of lane discipline, leaving a safe distance and at one point hitting 100. That basically covers everything i see riding to and from work on a daily basis.

At least they know how to use the tax payers monies over there. In the states most of the time motorcycle cops are for show. eg. parade details, politician escorts and such. the times that I've seen moto cops doing routine patrol, I can count on one hand. I never see them out in the rain. Heck, I ride more often than the cops. I'm talking about NYC moto cops. maybe other paces are different.
