i have cholinergenic pruritus. everyone agrees it's histamine caused. now what i want to know is what causes the excess histamine in the first place? since people all different diets what are the potential links? could it be that over time our liver pathways get clogged and thus can't filter out as much bad stuff and that in turn leads to the excess histamine production as a by product ?

I usually have this urticaria, am still trying to figure what food am allergic to that gives rise to it. And i also notice that mine can arise if i lie on a dirty bedspread or bedshit

Hi there, if anyone is suffering from urticaria then please try to cut any kind of processed sugar. Sulphite are usually used as preservative in coconut or sugar. Please avoid anything that contains sulphite. I had urticaria for 4-5 years but after cutting off processed sugar and sulphites i am totally fine.

This happened to me. I had no idea what was happening at first. At night I would have hives everywhere except feet & calves. In the morning they would disappear and the next night the hives would switch (like from the back thigh to the front thigh the next day). This happened for about 3-4 days then stopped. Glad someone explained this

First time I experienced it when I was 5 years old. During that time I was with fever. From then on what triggers is whenever my body's temp gets high like having sunburn, mild fever, upon drinking alcoholic bev. But I was able to overcome it by fasting and no sugar when I was in my 20s. But came back now am almost 50 upon eating chives. Yes, first time I ate many chives!
But it was a 24hr urticaria only unlike before that it would take days or even a week!

I’ve had this for over 20 years. Just walking small amounts cause it, any form of heat, aniexty, spicy foods. It’s completely depleting and extremely depressing. It makes life almost not worth living. I truly befit will kill me one day. I get dizzy, wheezing, coughing and full hives. It burns

I can work on my truck and the plastic in front sets it off. I can touch a cardboard box and it sets it off. In fact, anything can set it off. I have been suffering for over 1 year and the meds make it worse for me.

Going to see my Dermatologist in Nov to see what they say now. It’s pure evil that I did not need.

i seem to get these randomly unk why small one on the leg today scratched it now bumbs it i leave it alone in a couple hours it be gone then who knows in a month or 2 I might have it happen again. very strange always small and never really an issues just wierd that it happens at all I guess.

my hives from an oat allergy.... been dealing with it about 3 months.. they're chronic at this point, was taking 3 different allergy meds every 2 ... 3 hours, as they don't last long anymore.....
thought I better call a doctor.

I been experiencing hives on my thighs & elbows. Been an on going thing for almost a month! I do not get them anywhere else on my body..sometimes my palms gets itchy though. I would have welts on my palms as well! They aren’t clusters they’re just isolated bumps. They stick around morning and by evening it’s flat and a little red. Then at night it reappears but different spots on my thighs. 😢 also I gets them at night and would wake up with more hives. I’m so stressed! I’m doing blood work Monday so wish me luck!
