How To: Meshify Series Front Filter Removal

To anyone having trouble with this, you have to press UP into the tab, not pull on it. If you still can't manage, just pull off the front panel and remove the filter from the other side (be careful to not rip the wires out the front IO).

Yeah…. I just ended up ripping out the entire front panel when I tried this. Nothing catastrophic but this guys finger strength must be ungodly to be able to just press that lever without ripping off the whole thing

The model I have removes from the top, not the bottom but thanks it’s a good case. I also discovered I could swap the side the door opens from!

Ugh, please consider changing this design to something like the FD Define C so that it's easier to remove and clean (including using the mesh filter). And please remove the giant, obnoxious logo or at least make it optional. If I was using this in an under-desk cage mount like I do with my Define C I would have definitely returned it as removing the bottom filter each time to clean the front filter would have required too much effort.
The case and airflow is great, just fix the terrible front filter access. Next time I remove it I'm going to file off most of the plastic hook and see if that helps...

how do you remove the filter from the front door on the meshify XL once you have removed the door from the case? the frame of the door blocks the filter being removed

Guys if it feels like its going to break... Just keep pushing. You're pushing on a tab that's supposed to bend and unlatch from whatever is keeping it on. It just takes a stupid amount of force. Good luck.

Super easy, pretend the plastic is a handle and just let it bend. It's made to bend.

To remove the front dust cover, you pull the bottom dust cover off and then push your fingers in from the bottom with some force. There is a 3.5 inch clip. Love this case but the instructions for a first time builder are disappointing. God speed!!

One complaint I have as I've just built a new PC with this case is that the wire for the 2 USB 3.0 is really too short (I know this video is about the first panel but I really want to get this out there). I just barely got it in. Later I have to unplug it as it was getting in the way of the other cables/cable manageable while unplugging it was very hard. I emphasize VERY as when it came it took off the plastic guard on my motherboard and bent on of the pins.

I have this case and have removed the filter, but: the actual filter is between the front mesh and some plastic that holds the filter in place. How is the actual filter removed and cleaned, if at all possible???

I ripped the filter mesh out it just blocks air flow too much and looks better as well. You cant get to the sponge which is just very poor design

Because the instruction manual didn't tell me how, I ripped the entire fucking front off the case like an ape.

Finally I managed to open it by using a hammer.
