Whats the biggest hard drive does this support? You would think they would just cut out the older hard drive pins and run it thought a SATA cable not the ribbon.

Still not convinced that any of this is necessary for most end users nor that the extra features used as selling points are coming to current owners or improve past external upscalers enough to warrant both the work or the cost. Seen no major waves recently in this side of the scene. However, if people are happy with what they have so far, then I guess its not money lost. I will hold out until I feel further progress has been made though, as many a time in the past, once the money has been earned the rest of the work gets dropped into the open-source bin for others to continue and not developed by the lead devs. Only way to see how that goes is to wait. Have now grabbed an Andonstar AD409 Pro with a neat little endoscope which will come in handy for other stuff whilst I see how the cards stack.

Doesn't the xbox have an emulator by now? I remember giving mine away 10 years ago to some kid.

My buddy and had a small industry of modding XBOXes 20 years ago..this is all neat and stuff. But myquestion is WHY? Like 99% of the games, and features we accessed with a modded x box back then is now doable with a phone a cable and Bluetooth controller.

If this is about preservation, then hats off. But if it's just games you want, this is like adding 100 arcane, extra steps to play 20 year old games is a tough sell. I'm yoset just perplexed.

How easy would you say the installation process is for someone with zero soldering skills? I have a 1.0 revision and have been wanting a mod chip for years but have always been afraid of messing up my childhood Xbox.

mistakes were made

12 year old me would absolutely be salivating over this mod chip. I didn't have much money growing up so buying a chip wasn't an option. Softmod was always the method to my madness. Breathing new life into a console I loved so much and introduced me to video games!
