Walked into Toyota to find the Heavy Metal gr waiting for me at 3k over msrp. I’m in love
ОтветитьAmazing review. I can’t wait to get my hands on one.
ОтветитьJust got mine today
ОтветитьYou had me until you said $43k.
ОтветитьCar ans Driver sucks
ОтветитьThis looks like the old 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 except with all wheel drive . This is probably what the Mazdaspeed 3 should of been .
ОтветитьIt's not just for the US. Comes to Canada. Please get the basics right.
ОтветитьThat's pretty useless. My mustang ecoboost has 330hp / 350 lb/tq , actually looks good and turns heads everywhere, and has a better interior. And it's from like 4 years ago
ОтветитьI would rather buy a 5.0 mustang for that price
ОтветитьMan whomever designed that car loves the look of vomit. Like let’s just do whatever. It’ll be a hatchback/mini van/hybrid suv/insect
ОтветитьIt's technically a virtual car which we never see here in dealerships 😢
ОтветитьThis sounds nothing like a 4 cylinder? What... 3 cylinders also sound better than 4's imo. it's like a mini V6 sound.
ОтветитьWhere are you finding affordable? Is this with or without the markup?
ОтветитьToyota not giving the US the GR Yaris is THE biggest DICK MOVE in automotive history...
ОтветитьA 3 cylinder engine? That’s too big. I’m waiting for a 2.5 cylinder engine.
ОтветитьMy local dealer has VW Golf R that are selling at MSRP
Ответить“…Affordability…” LOL
ОтветитьIn Ontario, you can only order the core, $48,700 .... There is a dealer fee of 1221 . Never heard about a dealer fee in Canada before. This is getting more ridiculous 😂. As the days go by. I make inquiries to 4 dealers. None of now if they would even get one. No dealership contacted me to say they are expecting one. You have so many other choices. Toyota is also contributing to the problem by keeping production low. I will stick with Mazda the cx 70 will be my next car.
ОтветитьThis car is fast enough. Auto journalists will always complain. The real issue is it is over priced in Canada. Not many will buy, Toyota will say not enough consumers are buying. therefore, we will stop building. Remember the Lexus gs 350.. that is exactly the same scenario...
ОтветитьToyota gr Corolla simply awesome Cape Town South Africa
ОтветитьI would hardly call this accessible. It's a $45k Corolla. If you have to have AWD, you can get a used WRX for $20k
ОтветитьAs good as the GR Corolla is, it is still a Corolla that is priced at US$44k / CA$54k for the circuit edition. The interior quality is mediocre at best, the back seats are cramped, and for that price, I'd rather go for a a Golf R which is actually a much better blend of Livability, Affordability, and Fun.
ОтветитьCan't wait to see the Lightning Lap time - along side new Type R, Elantra N, WRX, Z, Supra manual.........what a golden age!
ОтветитьIs it me or does this look like a giant blob on the road?
ОтветитьIt’s ugly af thow
ОтветитьDid he call this an "econocar?" Maybe I misheard him. $44K econo eh? What happened to little simple cars that don't cost multiple arms and legs?? All the high tech sounds like a nightmare to work on. Karl, hating all new cars due to high tech luxo BS.
ОтветитьAnything over 32k is a rip
ОтветитьWould be nice to be able to place an order and just wait like they do in Japan and not get screwed with mark ups. Toyota and Honda can stuff these cars.
Ответитьsuch a great car
ОтветитьMaybe us normal enthusiasts will finally be able to get one come 2025 or 26
Ответить"Affordable" if you can find one msrp and not 10k plus
ОтветитьUgly car.
ОтветитьHi Carlos Lago you are tocayo im Carlos too. Blessings
I have a question case:
Assuming your friend has a 2013 Mazdaspeed3 2Gen, and wants to upgrade to a hot hatch that gives him fun to drive, but is a daily car at the same time, would you recommend upgrading to a GR corolla Circuit Edt or GolfR? or do you understand that both being HTch provide similar experiences that are not worth spending $50k or $60k
Toyota ticked all the boxes except in two categories...
Price and that front grill... looks matter but I guess its pretty difficult to buff out the bones of a Corolla
At the end of the day, it's still a Corolla.
ОтветитьYou commenters must be bots. You aren’t helping your cause by hyping other markup moaners lol
ОтветитьOf course the Yaris rs wasn't sold in the US...our soccer mom suburbia society has ruined the market for 2 doors
ОтветитьThere's significantly faster fullsize suvs built than this
ОтветитьCarlos you are the Mark McGrath of the auto review industry lol...where don't you work?
ОтветитьSo ugly. Why didn’t they make 2 door coupe?
ОтветитьAffordable fun and daily useable track car .. proton satria
ОтветитьHow about all these big and powerful journalists come together and bash scum bag dealers for mark ups! This year was an amazing year for cars. Many of fun new models have been released. Many that were made for the WORKING CLASS but unfortunately greedy dealers took those cars and made them either unaffordable for some or completely unjustifiable and stupid purchase for others. CIVIC TYPE R , GR COROLLA , GOLF R! Those are all average consumer cars and they are unattainable! We're not talking GT4RS here, it's a damn Corolla! Something had to change and the only way it can be done is by recognition, power and social media. Automotive journalist, manufacturers, headquarters of north America, please fix this!!
ОтветитьNice car but ridiculously expensive
ОтветитьMost reviewers found the FWD TypeR was more fun and had oversteer then the AWD GR Corolla which felt more stable and understeer. Hoping suspension setups or a refresh would make it more fun to drive.
ОтветитьYou don't need a track car. Will stick with the lower priced XSE Corolla that gets better gas milege and a much more comfortable ride with more amenities.
Ответитьmy dream car
Ответитьsome slight mods this thing will be running high 12s and good in the corners what a fun car
Ответить
