Thanks for this great video. Quick question about power pumping: do you replace regular pump session with a power pump session? So for example at 6am a regular session, at 9 am another regular, at 12 noon a power session and then at 3 pm a regular session and then regular sessions for the rest of the day?

Thank you so much for making this video! I just found it and I had been searching via the YT vids for mamas that breastfeed and pump with 6+ month old babies.. Currently, my LO will be 7mo and 2wks Friday. I breastfeed and pump, but have been working from home b/c of the COVID outbreak. While I was working, I had gotten to where I was pumping about 25-30oz per day and would just nurse in th evening mostly, Nd I would sometime pump if little one(LO) did not nurse alot. I would be able to send baby to daycare w/ 5-7oz bottle (pumped from one breast that morning) and would give an additional 18oz, pumped the day prior, at work and at home. Now having been working from home, I made the mistake about 3-4 wks ago, of not keeping up that routine, and now I am barely able to pump anything out. We co-sleep too, so LO can nurse through the night, from one side, and the opposite side I would just pump a bottle in the morning (now I only get 3-3.5oz). It does not help my LO is so attached, and always wants to nurse since being home, and kind of gets distracted when nursing, she is so observant (so she is constantly starting and stopping repeatedly.. LOL, so exhausting). Anywho, I did end up getting new smaller flanges 19mm about 3months ago now, but even those seem too big now, so I decided to get 15mm inserts for 24mm or 28mm, and just a regular insert to use in my current 19mm flanges. I was also going to give power pumping a go too, and see how it goes.. (Additional info: I eat oatmeal faithly every morning, aim for drinking 68oz+ of water per day, and try to get in at least 2 meals with protein, still are taking prenatals, no signs of my monthly neither, I was taking Goats Rue, but stopped recently because I heard from a healthcare person it is a natural diuretic, and I know I am working on getting my water intake back up past 68oz.. I know this is a mouthful, but Any suggestions?? Again thank you for posting this video it's such a huge help..

It got out if hand for me. I am currently pumping 5-6 times in 24 hours and its arround 2200-2800 ml per day . Its insane. My baby drinks only 900-1200 ml and all rest is donated every two weeks. I just hope it does not affect my health

I heard you say that 8-12 pumps a day was not possible for you. I am in the same boat! It is so overwhelming to meet that "requirement". May I ask how many pumps you settled on and what worked for you?
