You know what I don't hate it, I was prepared to get emotional but didn't. It's a fun advert, silly, goofy but half decent
ОтветитьI really wish there was a stuffed animal tie-in. It became a tradition in my house to watch the ad and get the stuffy for Xmas. We’ve got Moz, Edgar, the Penguin…
ОтветитьSorry woke advert. Budlight 2.0
ОтветитьJohn Lewis never disappoint with their nauseating wokeness.
ОтветитьThis was bad
ОтветитьSo sorry but I just don’t love it. The other ads are better. 😢
Merry Christmas 💗
The biggest miss ever!
How did this get approved.😂😂😂
What would be nice is an advert about Christmas not launched before December 1st.
How about that for innovation 🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎅🏼🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Guess where I'm not shopping?
ОтветитьBring back Dragon!
ОтветитьSeems to be another agenda serving advert like M&S move away from tradition
ОтветитьWatched it for the first time yesterday and did not hate it. On reflection and another viewing. I like it. It's clever. The start makes you think of Jack and the Beanstalk. It then morphs into 'Little Shop of Horrors'. Here the plant was carnivous space plant. It was aggressive and certainly male. Depending on how you see it, it is either about the boy discovering his masculity amongst a household of women or maybe an expression of unconventionally or even excitement. The plant does not fit in due to its ravenous need to play. This is echoed by the song and phrase.
La vita della festa.
Which translates as 'the life of the party'
The boy rejects the conventional tree and they all see that the plant has its uses. It is a celebration of life or masculinity.
Worst one yet
ОтветитьI'm clearly the outlier in my opinion of this ad. It's okay but not phenomenal, and I didn't get the Christmas feels from it. Perhaps, I need to see the Little Shop of Horrors to understand it. 😕
ОтветитьThanks John Lewis for completely missing a Dad out of the advert - typical left wing nonsense - no male figure at all - all female family except for a little boy. Wheres Dad at xmas? Disgrace
ОтветитьFor 10 years straight, John Lewis advert has been something I look forward to watch every Christmas ❤
ОтветитьI really dont get the message intended in this.
ОтветитьSnapper is probably the best and cutest character you’ve made to date John Lewis. Not the theme I would’ve gone for but i think it’s still my favourite Christmas advert this year and John Lewis adverts are always my favourite every year
ОтветитьBrilliant 👏👏👏 John Lewis always has the best Christmas ads 👌😍
ОтветитьVery cute :)
ОтветитьActually love this! Original, fun, heartwarming.
ОтветитьIs that andrea bocelli singing
ОтветитьI miss the tear-jerking ads the last real great one was 2015
ОтветитьI love the music in this
ОтветитьI am cry! so good! Bravo! Bocelli excellent!
ОтветитьI work in advertising and I'm Italian... you can't get how happy this ad makes me feel ❤😊
Ответить¡Maravilloso! 🎉❤🎉
ОтветитьDreadful.
ОтветитьLove it! I felt so sorry for Snapper cast out in the cold 😭 and then it turns out good! ❤🥰
ОтветитьNot to my personal taste, but definitely a step in the right direction. Would have worked with a better song for me.
ОтветитьIn the immortal words of Tyra Banks, “YOU get a lump of coal! And YOU get a lump of coal! You ALL get a lump of coal!!!”
ОтветитьSo the perfect Christmas tree is the best-known carnivorous plant, the Venus flytrap, which eats its victim alive.
I'm pretty sure whoever came up with this ad is not a Christian. Or just wants to desecrate the Christian holiday. Then at the end of the commercial, he spits Christmas presents in the family's face? And everyone is happy with that?
Those Christians who think this is a nice Christmas advert must be in an advanced state of mental deterioration.
Notice all the inaccuracies 😂
ОтветитьI know some people are complaining over there being no dad in the advert, but us single parents do exist and it isn't often when we get represented in an advert.
Ответить😂🥺❤
ОтветитьThank you John Lewis. I just love Andrea Bocelli bringing Christmas joy and pathos to us through La Vita della Festa🎉.
ОтветитьI'm so sorry but you've done so much better adverts like the bear and the hare in 2013, the snowman journey 2012, monty the penguin 2014, buster the boxer trampoline Edgar the dragon 2019, I couldn't wait to see what you had this year and I was horrified to see this year's one was like the little shop of horrors or the triffids it felt like it was more of a Halloween advert than a christmas one it was a big let down if you could go back how you did some of your older ones would be good felt you've lost your way this year!!!
ОтветитьFor all those worried about Snapper being outside - they grow best outdoors! 🤣🤣
ОтветитьBrilliant ad. Makes a pleasant change from the usual adverts from the bigger retailers.
ОтветитьTraditions grow with Audrey II...I mean Snapper
ОтветитьI love It ❤
ОтветитьYou guys have lost the plot, what happened to the incredible ads from the early 2010s
ОтветитьStill not seen it on TV. Thankfully there are better ones to watch, over and over and over again 😂
ОтветитьReally clever and quite funny! I mean we don't have to have a tearjerker every year.
ОтветитьThis is garbage, not a Christmas commercial. Whoever did this, find another job somewhere in agriculture.
ОтветитьA fun advert - and quite a change from the sometimes bordering on over-sentimental things seen in previous years - so this upbeat yet heartfelt as is refreshing (though I DID worry about that dog possibly getting eaten by ‘Audrey II’ for a second). The adverts featuring the animated Bear & Hare and the classic one with Buster the boxer dog are still the best ones John Lewis have made though.
ОтветитьOh dear, I'm sorry I just don't like it! I've watched it several times and it depresses me, I realise it's quirky but for me, not in a good way. I'm 80 next year, perhaps you need to be a youngster to appreciate this one!
