Bro it's kinda like they forgot that Otis and Maeve are the heart of the show after Season 2. Constantly, misunderstandings, obstacles etc. At a certain point it gets frustating and insulting to the viewers.

Im SO mad about season 4. I know its just a show but come on. So many great couples that deserved a happy ending, those two included. And I dont even feel like there was much romance in general. It feels like the last season was written by someone else. I binge watched the first three seasons before watching 4 and it just leaves me so unsatisfied with almost everything :( These kinds of "this ending is realistic"-shows that at first seem like they end happy for everyone give me way too much sadness. Looking at you, HIMYM :D If I want realistic, I dont have to watch a show :c
