Hi Melinda - Wings Over America must have great audio quality for you to mention it. We already know the songs are fantastic. Is there anything else in particular you would add to sway me to pick it up next time I see it? It is fairly readily available and cheap.
Merry Xmas 🎄

Terrific video, beautiful tree! My favorite song line of all time, believe it or not, comes from The Pet Shop Boys..."change the dedication from revolution to revelation". A very merry Christmas to you and to all your vinyl channel family!

Melinda! Don’t you know satanic majesties and piper are considered schedule 1 substances?! Haha. I love the wholesomeness of the channel and all the wild psychedelic music featured in it. Met mazzy in person last week and mentioned how I loved his and your channels. You two seem like good friends! Would love to chill with Kenny one day and bliss out to miles davis. You remind me of Mary Hopkin with your little collar today!

The Stones all the way, I do like the early Beatles but then they became sort of weird IMO, I have no use for the Asian influence. McCartney has the most horrendous Christmas song ever, I cringe each time it's on the radio these days and my reaction to shut if off is still faster than lightning. As a guitar player for decades, my lifelong hero is Clapton, no one has a sweeter vibrato like him and the solo on the original Crossroads is one of the best ever, and made up on the spot, simply great.
Beautiful and very festive background and attire, on this video, very appropriate at this time.
Merry Christmas to you, Melinda and family and to all your followers.

Hi Melinda - The Beatles every single time, Stones second - but no one, no one will every match what those four lads from Liverpool achieved. Am a massive Dan Fogelberg fan, and that song you mentioned "same old lang syne" - is just a wonderful song. Meeting an old lover in the grocery store - beautifully written, and you just wonder what kind of a life she actually had. Well I do anyway - Dan was such a loss. The first song I actually heard of Dans, was "Part Of The Plan" off Souvenirs - produced by Graham Nash, and I have been a fan ever since. That's me Melinda, have a great Xmas and New Year. All the best to you and your family. Cya Doug

Yes I totally agree with you on Gary Glitter. Yet I still love the song "Rock and Roll (Parts 1 and 2)", I do not blame the song itself the horrible things that Glitter has done. So here is an idea to separate the song from Glitter. A number of renown artist should get together to rerecord the song. Perhaps a We Are The World type of effort recording from many artist. Then the new version can be used to play at sporting events. This way we will be taking the song away from Glitter like taking a child away from an abusive home. But there is one problem with this idea, Gary is listed as a writer so a new recorded version may enhance his royalties from the song. If a way around this could be found than this is a great idea. Perhaps Glitter's shares of royalties from new cover of this song should go to a charity.

Just one other Beatle related fact regarding Rock and Roll Part 1 and 2. The other co-writer of that song is Mike Leander a British arranger, songwriter and record producer who has worked with many famous musical artist. He was later requested by Paul McCartney to arrange the Beatles' "She's Leaving Home" from the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, as the Beatles' staple producer and arranger, George Martin, was unavailable at the time. Leander thus became the only orchestral arranger other than Martin to work on the recording of a Beatles basic track. Source used Wikipedia.

Even though I love the album.... Trout Mask Replica is alot to take in at once. A trick is to think of it as 4 EPs. Listen to 1 side, take a break of days (or weeks) then listen to another side. Works well.

The Beatles by a mile. Even though the Rolling Stones have been together longer and brought out more albums,
The Beatles have not brought out a bad album, but the Stones constantly bring out bad albums.

One thing I will definitely agree on is Kiss's first album. That album is
extremely under rated. For me it's their first and only good album. Pure rock.
It would have been interesting to see what they would have produced
later on if they hadn't sold out to Pop culture. Although they did become
billionaires because of it. The music never benefited from it unfortunately.

Hi, Melinda. First I want to say that I love your Christmas tree! My all-time favorite band has to be the Beatles; hate to feel like a sheep, but it is what it is! Second for me is the most underrated band in Rock history, E.L.O., but I also like the Stones, Journey, Van Halen, CCR, R.E.O. Speedwagon, Boston and KISS. My favorite solo singer is bar FAR, Elvis Presley; I have every song that he recorded 😊 Walter

Hi Melinda, I love this video you had a lot of goodies here. I love the song for Dan Fogelberg I played the 45 to Same Lang Syne and posted it on my Instagram page yesterday. That song was played a lot by the radio stations where I live growing up. It tripped me out because I looked him up and saw that he had passed away on December 16, 2007. I also loved the Duran Duran Decade Album. I used to have the VHS for that and my friends were jealous😆 Anyways Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I agree with all your choices, especially KISS-my favorite artist of all time and Van Halen-album changed and inspired guitarist. Neil Peart is my favorite drummer of all time. With only those two choices, I would have to also pick the Beatles, but for me I prefer The Who over both of them. Carrie Underwood does always seem to have a pretty good life, but some people don’t know that she went through a couple of miscarriages while trying to have children, but do admire her for staying strong in her faith and family. She’s stronger and even a better role model for it and I wish her continued success. Thanks again for another awesome video.

I recently cleaned, re-sleeved and re-organised my vinyl collection. I wasn't sure how many I had but it is close to 400. They have been alphabetised by artist into crates as some were getting squashed by putting to much on a shelf. it does mean they now take up more room. I have never really been into the Stones (prefer the Who). I have recently been playing old Beatles albums that my Dad left me before he passed. I had to buy a few remastered to finish their studio albums.

I am getting the Pink Floyd Pulse Live Concert boxset for Christmas. it may end up being my best Live album. the video of it is amazing.

Great answers to these questions, Melinda. The only two (2) that I would have to disagree with are the KISS answer (I am a lifelong KISS fanatic and to this day, I can only stomach the first album's songs via KISS Alive! as I STILL can't get past the lo-fi fidelity of the first album & Hotter Than Hell) and Paul McCartney & Wings (there are soo many better live albums to list but I would start with the Rolling Stones "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out!"). Happy holidays and Merry Christmas...Cheers!

Hi Melinda, I rarely get the chance to comment, because I'm typically watching late evening on a television, and haven't figured out how to "like" or comment with the remote...may give a hint of my age(lol). I've been collecting LP's since 1975-college days, and have approximately 4000 at this time. I tend to go through stages of interest, and I've experienced another surge in the last few years due to the ability to find rare or hard to find vinyl through Ebay etc, and you've motivated me in various ways to take this, one of my main hobbies, more seriously. I recently purchased an ultrasonic record cleaner (I used a Discwasher forever) and began re-sleeving my collection with higher grade materials than the typical paper sleeves. I've also started to catalog on Discogs; a daunting task that would probably take years, but at least I've made a good start. We have a great deal in common when it comes to musical taste; I'd say you're more refined than I-especially with equipment and the "audiophile" aspect of the vinyl, but I'm always thinking "me too" when I watch your videos. You're an "old soul", that's easy to see and I look forward to all of your video work. Happy New Year to you and your family.
