Totally feel for Patrick. When life becomes reduced to barely coping, doctors tend to fill u with synthetic drugs.

I suffer from too much to mention. I micro dosed for the first time this morning and even after one dose my negative thoughts have changed. I am literally trying to upset myself but I can’t. If a negative thought takes place in my head it is banished immediately. I never had the luxury of thinking without stress and now I can! This is just after one dose. I am doing this for a month. I have never felt this relieved ever.

UPDATE: micro dosing has totally changed my outlook on life. I am no longer a prisoner in my own mind. This is so liberating.

The way we are taught to think at school is convergent, solution-focussed thinking where we discard, narrow down and find and impose a solution.
However there another equally valid way of thinking that is divergent, holistic thinking where we look for missing information, learn to view snapshots of wholes, and learn to interact with complexity and insoluble 'messes' without being overwhelmed. And instead of trying to shrink my trauma, I expanded it, made it huge, made it apply to everybody...
I am not touting religion here but one way that religion can work is because the person's viewpoint shifts outside of themself.
In 2001 I was in terrible state with PTSD - couldn't calm down and my very mood swings were so intense that trauma was spiralling up.
The mood swings came in a 2-week "washing machine cycle" where I had been trying to shrink my trauma and in looking at various aspects, incited the moods. Hospital staff rated my survival outlook to just months - a very high suicide risk due to overwhelming trauma.
I recognized why my mood swings were happening, applied my university training in systems thinking, and switched from convergent to holistic thinking. At the same time I changed my meds from daily high doses to a single dose every fortnight - mirtazapine for overwhelming sadness/despair, and diazepam for anger spins. One dose of each per fortnight to stop the flashbacks from intensifying.
From then onwards I was on the road to recovery, and the change was immediately obvious to MH staff - they were astonished.
Prescription drugs were what I used in 2001 but I would try hallucinogenic mushrooms now.
