I would have left her out there. She would have plenty of grass and bugs to eat so she wouldn't starve but I would have waited until they finished eating so that she would be less likely to leave again in fear that they would get all the good food and she would be left out

One of my chicks figured out she could jump and glide out of their pen now and taught the other 4 chicks to do the same within about 20 minutes. We were keeping them in a pen in our porch at night and it was about 9 pm at this point so we had 5 chicks running around the porch and not much time to find a solution for the night. We ended up using an old bed sheet and covered the top to keep them from jumping out. We move them every morning to a smaller run, where they can see the adult birds but not get hurt by them. They spend all day out there anyways so we ended up moving an old large dog crate into the Hen House where the adult birds are. They now spend the nights in the crate. The size isn’t ideal because when it rains heavily I feel really bad about having to keep them in it but thankfully we don’t often get more than sprinkles when it rains so it’s only happened once that they had to be delayed in going out to their run till about noon (they have food and water and the crate).

Hahaha our chickens do the same thing when they get out of the coop. It's hilarious. Barley have to chase after them to get them to go back in lol.

Thats how God forbidden the evil predators outthere waiting.
