what is the name of the number one cargo van to buy...?

So is a 2014 Mercedes 2500 a bad or good van to buy ?? I’m a minute or 2 into the video I have no knowledge on vans

Avoid Mercedes Sprinter vans either on diesel or gas!
I had a Ford Transit T 250( high roof extended) on gas no turbo and a Sprinter diesel high roof extended.
Ford was better than the Sprinter. Less problems.

Are engines a consideration? Just saw a Sprinter 170 with a 2L - I4diesel.. Is that typical? Thx for your info..

I would have gone with a sprinter. The only thing stopping me was they only offer a diesel. I ran diesels in the past and I am done with them. Now with D.E.F. system gas is the way to go. I already have well over 700 000 miles on my van same motor and one tranny swap. The thing has been a beast. I have like the most basic model. I mean a real "Plain Jayne" No Turbo 3.7 litre. The motor does not burn oil. I would buy another. too bad they don't have the 3.7L any longer.

I thought about using a chevy because of its low cost and durability. Then move on to a sprinter

What about the Nissan NV2500? I drove those before and they're pretty spacious. The only thing I didn't like was the wide turns.

Most loads are only one or two pallets and i run a permanent bunk and haul two and i do ok

Mercedes Sprinter is not the tallest the transit extra tall is the tallest. Im 6'5" I have driven the ProMaster that Nissan the transit tall and extra tall and the Mercedes. Mercedes definitely is the longest. The only van that can squeeze in four pallets which really is more important. Though you rarely get loads that are four pallets for cargo vans or something that long but it's nice to have three pallets and a bed 👍

Your info is a little misleading you don't need 144 inches of length for cargo space. There is plenty of company's that will let you drive with shorter. I drive a transit 150 long wheel base with a sleeper built behind the front seats my cargo area is 101×55. I have very little down time and work with 4 dispatch company's.
