Yes replacement half shafts
ОтветитьHello I ran into the same problem with my aftermarket upper control arms.i meed to know how that front differential drop worked out ? So i can do it to mine . bring it back to factory parts .Help please
ОтветитьWriting to let you know how impressed I am with your professionalism, clarity of instruction and well displayed workspace. It’s a lot of fun watching and learning with your easy, natural and well done instruction.
Sooo, thanks man
Please don’t scrap this 😢 I live in Canada I’d pay for the shipping to bring it over I love these trucks so much always been in the family as a kid
ОтветитьDon´t sell it this is a real iron truck, the newest one are made from plastic ejejej!!
ОтветитьI’ve got a 94 reg cab Z71, and I changed everything under the front end. Those lower ball joints were a nightmare. But that didn’t fix the slack in the steering. I rebuilt the steering gearbox before I realized the rag joint was the issue. I bought an expensive steering shaft, and finally resolved the problem. Now my gauges seems to be having some ground issues, and I think the fuel pump may be slacking a little.
ОтветитьI wanna buy it
ОтветитьI have a 1995 K2500 suburban. I have used your channel a lot in the last 12 months as I have changed many of the same parts and made adjustments. Making many similar modifications, improvements and repairs I feel your pain, and joy! Keep them coming! By the way I have made many updates, going to a 46mm Throttle Body, updating distributor ect... if you ever need to bounce an idea feel free.
ОтветитьI have a similar front drop kit, I did the ebay one. All of the stock components as far as upper and lower control arms work. I did end up buying some coil over front shocks. Both AC Delco and Monroe make them. The AC Delco have a plastic holder the Monroe's have a metal one. The shocks are 2 inches longer so I removed the front shock extensions that came with the lift kit. This takes some of the adjustment out of the torsion bars smoothing out the ride and reducing the tension on the torsion bars from the lift keys. I did end up using some washers as spacers for the shock mounts as the eyelet for the bolt holes were slighting narrower. Also used a ratchet strap to compress them.
ОтветитьFor the swaybar bushing bolts, use an extension with a wobble on it, not a universal, a wobble end. A 1/4 inch is easiest to get up in that hole and get the bolt started, then tighten with a 3/8 wobble socket.
ОтветитьHelp on the half shaft, Rough Country makes an adapter that will allow you to put the 3/4 ton half shafts on. The 3/4 - 1 ton Shafts have a stronger U-Joint.
ОтветитьI'd definitely buy it
Ответитьdon't paint anything servs no purpose
ОтветитьAre u selling it
ОтветитьId give ya 500 lol got 1 just like it
ОтветитьHow much you want for it? I just totaled my obs 1500
Ответитьlmao literally I feel like we have been living the same life with all the truck problems
ОтветитьNew doesn't mean better
ОтветитьNot a "Part" ...It's a TOOL !!
ОтветитьHow did you install your bumper fog lights ? Are they Baja design
ОтветитьIf it ain't broke, don't fix it.
ОтветитьHave always liked the suburbans with the color matched grills,
Ответитьyou now can not say it's an original truck u drive... it's now been altered... not stock any more
Ответитьif it ain't broke dont fix it... u will open a can of worms... andu will wish u left it alone
ОтветитьI'll buy it right now.
29.95
you remind me of one of my customers, he's well to do, and works in medical, but he wants to belong in the construction trades like myself, he watches videos and gets all the top quality information and products but he has no longevity skills in the trades to completely retain or complete just one job correctly as a professional,
and because the parts and tools are high end the finish product is low end, and when everyone sees it he's like I'll just sell or get rid of it 🤣🤣🤣
I mean some people stay kids in some scenarios foreals...
How much do you want, I’m interested.
ОтветитьEveryone wants to buy it. Not too many low mileage clean AF gmt400s left
ОтветитьI'd super glue that boot. Replacing it with these new junk parts is a gamble for me.
ОтветитьStick with your OEM cv shafts, remans are usually have reground bearings so the hardness maybe gone (are a crap shoot is what I am saying) and the after market Chinese cv axles tend too have cheap cv joints too. Just use some goop on the nick in the cv boot and wipe down the cv rubber boots (and all other rubber on the truck for that matter) with AT-205 reseal to keep them drying out and cracking every time you do a grease job and oil change on it. You don't tow in 4wheel drive so the cv axles are no big deal, and if a cv joint starts to go bad you will get plenty of notice with noise over time, not like they just explode out of the blue and leave you stranded. My two cents worth.
ОтветитьI ✋
ОтветитьIf not sold I can offer a quarter pound marijuana. Not sure if you are interested in trading.
ОтветитьDon't sell you'll regret it the new trruck are Disposable only designed to last 5 years pland obsolescence in Chinese parts.
ОтветитьReplace the factory shaft. It’s cheap insurance & you have the labor done already. 👍
ОтветитьDid you run all of this stuff with a spreadsheet to see if the math ($$$) works? I realize the analysis for a guy who makes car videos is gonna be different than the math you would use to consider some practical upgrades to a 25 yr old truck.
ОтветитьDo a ls swap
ОтветитьI would prefer a 95 suburban k2500
ОтветитьDid the whole suspension on my 97 yukon. But I didn't replace the whole control arms like you, I just replaced the ball joints and bushing with original Ac Delco replacements. I did use moog links tho not the ac Delco ones.
ОтветитьI did a 07gmc 2500 HD that truck has the same parts no BS but I would take that truck with out thinking cuz they don't make them like that where you can fix it yourself
ОтветитьAxels are easy to replace, so it's not really needed just cause, those are good for another 100,000+ miles. They not just gonna break on you. If you do replace them, get a quality brand, and don't buy cheap after-market parts. Good luck, I love my '99 Suburban, wish it got the attention yours gets.
ОтветитьI've always been interested in these trucks, and want one when I can justify the cost. This vehicle is probably the channel's icon and it would be strange to see an empty spot where it once stood.
ОтветитьAre you related to Eric from ETCG1? You both look similar. Anyways, rockauto and orileys (commercial account) will benefit you very well
ОтветитьBecause you’re not doing a hop up of power on the engine, standard CV axles will absolutely get the job done. And those rivets on the lower arms are terrible. And since you already have all the pieces, it would be foolish to scrap it now. It’ll be an awesome daily and solid truck.
ОтветитьAnd now an LS swap....LOL
SELL IT AND BUY WHAT?
Click-baiting for view$ or you for real?
ОтветитьFlex tape the slit
ОтветитьDon't get discouraged, some jobs take time and a little bit of money but that truck is worth saving. I'd hold on to that truck as long as possible.
ОтветитьAt Autozone durlast gold cv axles look actually really nice they should last really long to I have only seen one fail but that was on a 500hp subaru brz lol
ОтветитьFactory half shafts will be better than anything you're getting for $100.
ОтветитьYou can get lifetime warranty stock cv axle from the local part stores
I live in Canada and 100 cdn each one
keep the reciepts
