So a few things: First the door handles present as you walk up on ‘24+ models. Second in the US there is at least an $8k subsidy plus $1.5k home charger credit, plus years of gas and maintenance savings you’re not counting into the “price” of the car, plus a 4-year warranty.

Re-engineering the basic functions of a vehicle needs to stop. Door Handles, wipers, turn signals, glove boxes... These basic functions should remain basic.

I would take this over the Audi Q8 Etron and save 10 grand in the process.

If it shares ANYTHING with a Mercedes, you wouldn't touch one with a 3-metre barge pole!

I'd like to know about EV Tire degradation at these higher weights. How long do tires last vs same vehicle in gas? Also, very little longterm info on highway extended trips over 75mph. Real world in Texas, 85mph is the norm. Nobody ever does range tests at these speeds. Most EV's are only ideal for in-town commutes. Those of us wanting 3hr range at 85mph (real world) really don't have a lot of options.....or test data????????????????? Is there a EV that gets me 3hrs down the highway at 85mph w/o range anxiety?

I just saw this car in a sport version with all the bright work deleted and I think it's very hot. For an ev it's really cool. I have a Lexus RX that's a few years old and the lyric made my car look so old.

Not really an SUV… closer to a wagon in the crossover world … Appearance grades to my eyes: front, F; sides, B+; rear, B-; interior, A-. The door handles are dreadful.

These buffons are evaluating a 2023 when the 2024 was already out or about to come out. The glove compartment access issues was corrected in the 2024 model.

Lyriq prices are falling like the Titanic recently on Cargurus. I have seen some less than 50,000 dollars. I would love to have one but I have a Bolt EV and that is more in line with my budget and has so far been one of the best cars I have ever owned.

How do you guys feel about the 2024 that has actual door handles? Also, I’ve never used the glove compartment in my Tesla and that has an unnecessary infotainment route as well. As dumb as the design is, it’s even dumber for someone to keep anything important in the glove box… like their life-saving medications lol

I took delivery on my Luxury 3 Lyriq AWD fully loaded earlier this past week.

It's an amazing car.

It's luxurious.

It looks way more expensive than it is.

The ride is slightly harsh and I wonder if they could improve that with Magnetorheological shocks (magneride) as well. I guess they weren't ready for this car yet.

But that's a minor nit pick: I'm totally happy with my car.

I have the same Argent SILVER with Light-gray interior on 22's and the car looks like $100,000.

So buy the AWD version? It might corner better than the RWD version.
