World-class acting, and a great translation. Too bad the sound quality is so poor.

The one I remember watching was Iphigenia at Aulis with Roy Marsden and Fiona Shaw, I thought it was absolutely brilliant but haven't been able to see it since.

A rare production of a famous play, marred by an orchestral background that competes with the text. Adding subtitles makes it much easier to understand, especially given the low volume of this upload.

And this also answers one bit of Neil Gaiman's 'The Sand Man' Terrifying Goddesses nightmare creatures from the mind's darkness and primaeval earth - "The Kindly Ones" [The Furies].

I had this and lost it. Thank you.
Anthony Quayle is brilliant, and what a perfect supporting cast. Theseus is my hero.

Thanks. The "Oresteia" that you mention in the notes is sometimes called "The Serpent Son." Cheers.
