The CORRECT way to gain FREE FPS with any AMD GPU

Using msi afterburner and rivatuner I get to see gpu1 AND gpu2 on a new build 6800XT?

These modern AMD cards are by default overclocking based on temps, so you can always get better clocks by just having your GPU run cooler just from case airflow optimization and a more aggressive fan curse. Overclocking a 7900 series really gives very little performance boost like 3-6fps max from unndervolting or overclocking. Biggest performance boost comes from cooler temps.

What keybaord are you using?

Resizable bar not properly working on Asus tuf RX 5600 XT. Only shows 1gb on bar0 instead of the full 6gb unlike the RX 5700 XT which shows 8gb

Ill never understand why youd want a monitor that big.

Take the power limit down to 0%, unless you did that already and I happen to overlook it. I never had my fps drop like that an it was an AMD gpu. Im assuming all the software/hardware is updated to the latest versions.

Score of 18046 on a water-cooled 7900xtx, rage mode was a score of 16800. This method works great.

I got an asus tuf rx 5600xt 6gb evo and just found out about SAM. with updated bios, i was able to enabled sam within bios and verified that it is enabled in adrenaline. However, I noticed that benchmarking results using Superposition is lower compared to disabled sam. Checked gpu z and saw that under resizable bar tab, bar0 is only 1000mb and not 6000mb which is the full gpu memory of 5600xt. I cant find anything in the web that can make it 6gb. Hope anyone can enlighten me. Thanks

I would love to overclock my GPU I just don't have so many of them laying around like you do. I had to bid on my GPU I kid you not I raised it up by like a few and it was gone forever . . . . . Rip AmD GPU and to be honest your explanation may seem like its making sense but for a newbie it needs to be way more thorough so I can actually understand how to apply settings on my specific GPU or any GPU at that point

I’ve experienced lower performance on all my cards with a memory increase. So……..must be a memory or controller issue beyond a certain clock. Perhaps a fused hard limit within the graphics chips?

So, TL;DR - boost clocks and power limits while undervolting until stable?

Curious if you improved the thermal profile of the hardware would improve power consumption and performance. I recently disassembled a radeon card to cleaned up the thermal paste and thermal pads. Bought high performing components, cleaned and replaced the default paste and pads. I found that at load it ran hot, but 10-20 degrees lower.

I'm currently working on a mod to water cool the new card coming to see if I get better performance and stability on default load and overclocking.

Curious what other may have experienced by replacing the cooling components or going directly to water cooled.
