Switch OLED vs Switch Lite | The Better Handheld

I love the switch lite, I didn’t enjoy the joy cons and the form of the switch and it’s why I never bought one. The d pad was seperate buttons, the joy cons were cheap feeling, and I was more of a handheld gamer when it came to Nintendo, when the lite was announced I immediately bought one and it’s one of the best handhelds ever. Child me would have been blown away if you gave me a switch lite while I was playing the old game boy advanced on that tiny screen. It’s everything I want/need as a Nintendo fan

Switch lite all the way. The OLED is a portable home console. The switch lite is a handheld. I'm a handheld guy.

If i want the OLED, it's mostly for home with optional on the go.

If i want the switch lite, it's on the go most of my time.

The switch lite is the perfect on the go console. If it had a slightly larger screen or even OLED ot would be golden!

Ok but at the end of the day do you really want to pack around an OLED with a split pad pro or compact? Or even joy cons. From someone that has bought more lites, V2 switch and now an OLED. I’m having a hard time grabbing the OLED when I hit the road. If it’s just on a plane or in the Hotel sure but I’m out and about with a lot of downtime. I still think the lite wins for portable, and docking the OLED defeats the purpose ugh…But I enjoyed your video.

I feel like the Switch OLED was made for Switch Lite users who wanted a better system...

Truth be told if you’re playing video games for 3 hours straight more than likely you have way too much time on your hands lite is the way to go if you’re looking for graphics that’s where Xbox and PlayStation comes in and I already have both just need an on the go system from time to time

Next month I'm about to buy switch oled but then Nintendo announced the Nintendo switch 2 next year so I'll go lite for now

The biggest strength hand-held wise on the OLED vs the lite, is battery life. Battery life is important to an on the go gamer. Although you can just carry a power bank, it’s still nice to have to worry about that less with the OLED

i think picking up a lite for £100/$100 second hand is the best value point, i would never pay 200 for a lite.

Are games running better on an Oled model or it is the same as on lite model?

I hope The Switch 2 is called something like NINTENDO DX or something that sounds really cool and hi-tech with with a little edge

If I was a kid a switch lite would be a great product. But I now have no use for a Nintendo handheld. If it doesn't do multiplayer on my tv it's kind of pointless to me. For me the big selling factor for Nintendo consoles is for couch coop games. Mario Cart, Smash Bros, and Mario Party. Without that capability with the lite it is kind of useless to me. I don't play on the go, and when I travel I'm traveling to get out of my house and do stuff. Not to play games while out and about.

I never found the need to get the OLED. My v2 switch never leaves the dock. And i take my lite when i travel. id rather lose a $200 switch then $350. The switch Lite has far less to break then the OLED. No chance your joy cons will break off the rails during transport.

The tabletop mode is the selling point for me with the oled. The perfect kickstand and being able to detach the joycons is so comfortable, I can just keep my arms at my side and play it on a desk.

There’s a lot to miss on switch lite in the audio, visual, and multiplayer department. Also, it’s not very comfortable. That’s a lot of downsides. I use a satisfye but it was definitely a tactical mistake holding on to this instead of getting a the tv version. However, pikmin 3 did run fine on it

I had the lite but the screen started to have white lines months after i dropped something heavy on it. Upgrading to an OLED now, but will get my lite's screen fixed soon (bc it has sentimental value :'D)

I love my Lite-its great for me and I am pretty much a handheld player so this was a successor to my 3DS. I agree with the comments below-Switch Lite plus Oled screen. Lets see what happens with the Switch 2 and whether they bring out a lite version of that.

I have the best looking Switch lite. It is the Pokemon version which is metallic gray with black sticks and buttons. It looks like the larger Switch lcd. It looks really good. Check it out.

Sorry but being able to put the moba pad joy cons on the oled just tops off the brilliant oled package.

Great video ! One thing you did'nt mention tho and is still quite important, is that you get an additional 32 gb of more data with the Oled !

Like this if you just want a Sony PSP with the exact same OG design that can play up to PS4 games. It can be done, they just don't want to....

nintendo need to make a switch lite OLED . coz i love my lite. i never used the first switch in the dock so the lite being smaller and handheld works perfect for me, BUUUT that OLED screen is beautiful!

At the end of the day it's better to just get both. They are both good in there own way.

Pro switch lite will be my dream handheld probably. I hope I'm not wrong.
