As a musical theatre fan I immediately thought “Little Shop Of Horrors” which is one of my favourite musicals so seeing this made me and my family smile so much ❤️❤️

Seriously, no wonder John Lewis is losing customers - who signed this ridiculous idea off - they need to STOP wasting millions and go back to basics!

Finally figured out the song - must be my TV but I couldn’t make it out before. Next thing to figure out: the point. My working hypothesis is they started with the soft toy in corporate colours to rival a certain Piggy 🐷 then took it from there. Either that or it’s aimed at the Plant-based (geddit) market share.

So John Lewis says embracing other traditions is like bringing a giant Venus fly trap into your home. On Christmas morning mum says where’s the baby and the dog 😂😂😂

The best ad John Lewis ever did will always be the one with the penguin in my opinion.

Music brilliant advert edgy but love as always conquers all. We cannot all be a glamorous Christmas Tree but can love and be loved even if we are a a bit different.

Oh dear. Nothing Christmassy about that ad. Kids hate scary things. Nothing suggesting premium products, cold rather than warm cosy family Christmas. And grating music. And then ridiculing Christmas by calling it traditions & spitting. I’d love to see what the brief was for destroying John Lewis sales & footfall at Christmas.

Well put together but it just doesn’t make much sense. Little Shop of Horrors doesn’t seem the best touchstone for the spirit of Christmas. Feels like one they came up with down the pub if you know wheat I mean.

Wow i honestly cannot believe it doesn't feature 500 sub saharans for no apparent reason it actually represents the indigenous people for once and not africa..

I miss real John Lewis Christmas advert. It's very different compared to the previous adverts. I don't feel much emotional and cozy mood in it. My favorite version is about a grandpa living in the moon. It was so much emotional.

Worst John Lewis advert ever and that’s with some stiff competition . Since bear and hare it’s been a rollercoaster to obscurity

The message is clear. Kids wants a live eating plant or something carnivorous on Christmas!

I've noticed this year with most of the large supermarkets department stores. You look. they are not typically British. Christmas adverts.
