Ok so who else hated when American cars became fwd because of the oil crisis and bc they were tryna make a quick buck 🙋🏾‍♂️ but tbh I hated when the Japanese and Germans started to do it too (the Japanese doing it first)

My 2014 Corolla LE CVT Eco with upgrade package has only had front pads and rotors replaced at 100k (60,000 miles). Zero other issues outside of oil changes and my rear brakes are still original. Has 115k on it now and is still going strong. Was built in Cambridge, Ontario.

Americans have a problem with European cars because they all are made in the US. The same goes for Ford. Build-in EU (Fords) they top 5 reliable car makers the only one we import from the US to EU is Ford 'Edge' and it has the worst owners reviews from all of the cars out there. Don't believe me check Autotrader.

Fewer flaws & defects using half the factory space & half the number of employees. Toyota set out to make exceptional vehicles like the LS400 or Prius, that hold up well over long periods of time like the Toyota Hilux Pickup, Corolla or Camry. Not exactly exciting like the FT86, but many Toyota vehicle end up lasting a long time when well maintained & return very low net overall long term cost per mile.

Scotty is a Toyota propaganda machine. BWM sucks...but hey, when they make the Toyota Supra, Scotty thinks its a fantastic vehicle. Ever noticed the brand new vehicles Scotty is driving lately?...yep, Toyota and Lexus. Any credibility he may have had is long gone

@Scotty. Hey I have a question for you. I had a 2010 corolla (just traded it in) that had a weird problem. I went to turn the car off and the lights and radiator fan would turn on. I ended up disconnecting the battery and as soon as I connected it the car would turn all that stuff on again. You ever hear of that problem? No one wanted to touch the problem so I was forced to trade it in. Just want your 2 cents.

Toyota holds on to technology longer than the other manufacturers. Because they do this, their components go through more testing over a longer period of time. Look at the Lexus GS - ancient technology, it does not even have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Even Toyota has problems - look at the brand new RAV4 in 2019. What had problems? The transmission, the new CVT. However, by 2020 they fixed it. Just like some of the American manufacturers. The longer you make a car no matter who you are, your car is more reliable. Applies to everyone - including Toyota.

I grew up and raised to have GM vehicles but after owning a few I have seen the problem. I own 2 Toyota’s but I also have a 03 Pontiac Grand Am 2.2L 4 cyl with a whopping 242000 miles and still runs like a top! Is this unusual? Im second owner and bought back in 2007 with 14,000 miles. I’ve always taken good care of her. Curious if these are typically long running or have I done something amazing!

I think it's funny how BMW is such an unreliable brand with cars when in the motorcycle world, their R1200GS with it's boxer engine is widely regarded as one of the most reliable engines on two wheels, with many of these bikes going well over 100,000 miles (which is a ton of miles for a motorcycle).
