Here are my own personal thoughts and opinions I would like to add to the mix, having played since the horrible launch back in 2018.
Content-wise, the original pre-Wastelanders MSQ is actually pretty enjoyable and fun to go through, having done it four times I always had a lot of fun. I've even met people who say that it is one of the best environmental storytelling they have seen in games. Wastelanders was well received for obvious reasons, and the Brotherhood updates - Steel Dawn and Reign - I found to be better than I'd thought they'd be.
However, being an online multiplayer game, 76's true strength should lie within the multiplayer aspect of the game - the events, bosses, online modes like DO and Expeditions. It is mixed. The community itself is one of the best I have been a part of, everyone is chill and casual, and I have met many friends on it that I thought I never would, and more so when I interact with the streamers. Daily Ops has gotten to the point where I need to turn my brain off to do. But Expeditions I particularly love as it is 76's version of dungeons from MMOs; going through a map to do some objectives and can be quite challenging if done solo, I love Expeditions or at least its concept and would like to see more modes and maps added to it in the future, the only downside I can have for it is the exhausting grind for Stamps and the lack of an actual boss near the end.
Never spent a penny of Fallout 1st and other than micro-managing my stash I never had an issue, so that is entirely optional. Do I see the benefits? Yes, but having quit WoW last year, I don't want to get into a another subscription-based game for a long time.
In all, 76 is a game meant for fun to be had playing with other people at your own pace, and it does well; I have seen new players stream it on Twitch and they end up having fun, some of whom gave it another shot after playing it at launch. IMO it needs more multiplayer content, thus that's why I want Expeditions to be expanded upon like I said previously. I would like a new story update, but unless it ends in a multiplayer boss fight like the vanilla and Lying Lowe questlines did, a story update will only keep people playing until they power through and rush it then stop for the next story update afterwards, which considering the track record will take another 1-2 years to implement. Is 76 worth trying? Definitely, but only if you've been wanting to play it for a while now or if you saw it was on sale. Otherwise, play a different game, no point wasting money, time, and effort in a game for more than 2+ hours only to complain; I have done it a few times and it doesn't feel good.
TLDR: On a scale of 1-10, how much do you want to play/try Fallout 76?
8+: Play it
7: Wait until it's on sale, it drops down to $10 and honestly that can be a steal whether it be 76 or not
6-: Don't bother
That aside, great video Uranium, your format of the video is akin to a game journalist converting their article into video form
i think a lot of 76 should've been included in fallout 4 but was left out for fallout 76. i think the game is in a much better place. but i'm never going to buy it. only thing would've been if i bought it earlier in the past. i look at it, like a look at the Redguard dlc for Skyrim way back in 2012 that was cancelled.
ОтветитьCould you please talk a bit clearer? English is not my first language and i couldn't understand 30% of the things you were saying 😅
ОтветитьBring back nuclear winter twas the best game mode so far
ОтветитьI started downloading it while watching and as soon as it started downloading the video literally stopped with the game being so big like the testing servers are 10 gb bigger than the game.
Ответитьyou deserved a sub❤
ОтветитьUPDATE: FallOut 76 is in the PS Plus [Game Catalog] collection. And it's 8 bucks by it's self till the end of OKTOBRE
ОтветитьI wish they would improve melee. Why would i use my spear like a sword? Maybe add finish moves if i one shot them from stealth? Some variety in the attacks would also be nice instead of just the left right swing.
ОтветитьFallout 2023. there's a chance we're all going to play it
ОтветитьI just uninstalled this game after playing it for the last year. It is still buggy, I have lost 8 god-roll legendaries from glitches and CTDs that I have spent hundreds of legendaries modules on rebuilding and re-rolling. Hours and hours of my free time wasted in the blink of an eye. Base building is still a pain, you basically need mods to build anything interesting. Fallout 1st is a waste of money, the inventory management is made 10x more difficult on purpose to try to force people to either pay for F1st or be miserable trying to manage their stuff. Event rewards are erratic and usually good roll on bad parts, and weak rolls on good parts. Weapon effects and strengths keep changing season by season in huge swings so if you don;t know the meta, you are under gunned. Some weapon types are super broken and have been broken for months. The community is OK I guess, I have met a few cool people, maybe 5% of the people I meet I would chat with to outside of F76. Most noobs just beg for free stuff in the disc VCs then bail. Some of the mods in the discord servers or mod helpers are erratic and/or strange. Dailies are annoying to do in public servers because all the stuff is gone. People go to events, hide in a corner and go AFK, increasing the spawns while you waste your ammo and buffs. Most players are low tactical skill. Also there are a few massive exploits that mean that if you are not there in the very start of an event like Scorchbeast Queen, the min/maxers and exploiters and cheaters can have her dead in like 20 seconds. Frequent connection issues in North American servers when I am very close to a node, which makes no sense. Players to player trading in game fell off sharply with Starfield's release.
On the plus side, some of the events are kinds fun, some of the people in Discord VCs are fun and hilarious, and helpful.
Overall, I have actual fun maybe 20% of the time, not enough to spend any more time or money on it
Started playing for the first time about a month ago and I'm having a great time
Ответитьi wish there was a way to share quest objectives with ur party
ОтветитьIt has the best map of all the 'modern' fallouts. Also there is scribe Valdez too.
ОтветитьThey haven’t touched the ballistics firearms for 5 years. Both Fixer and Handmade is what the small arms meta. But at least they did improved laser weapons. Since full auto on laser guns used to be 75 rate of fire.
ОтветитьHonestly it's just Rust, but in the fallout universe. Single player fallout is just better all around
ОтветитьThis video convinced me to get it, as it is like $8 online now, looking forward to giving it a try!
ОтветитьI feel like downloading the game now, so something good has to happen by now
ОтветитьI played this game at launch and almost immediately got bored of it. Im replaying it now and ive actually really enjoyed it not kidding this game has inproved and its interesting and different definitely not a masterpeice but a pretty damn fun game. And fun is the only thing that matters isnt it? Arent ganes just supposed to be fun?
Ответить"The Pitt" updated was a reason why I left FO76, and never came back. After I had played 600 hours on xbox and 200 hours on steam. HUGH DISAPPOINTED.
ОтветитьIf this is real, and the game play is good & has that cool leveling up feature in the old fallout, & multiplayer as well, i will definitely be getting this game
ОтветитьThis is still a stupid dumbass game
ОтветитьI tried to give it another chance but outdated looks and controls aside, the other people playing are complete losers. i spent 3 hours collecting different bug parts only to be followed and killed repeatedly. Whats the point in that?
ОтветитьThis game needs a end game like a raid kinda feel, PvP (arena style) eso does this quite well.
Maybe a zone of the map where everyone is hostile to ev1 and you fight AI vs player like division dark zone?
Everything is irradiated and needs to be extracted to cleanse the gear. And the gear has a chance of being high tier loot or a voucher for scrap idk about rewards just something interesting.
I played pretty consistently for about a year but I haven’t played since. Is it better to start a new character or continue with my old? I’m torn because of everything I got and built but it’s been so long I don’t remember what all I did and didn’t do
ОтветитьI quit because of storage. Feels like a chore.
ОтветитьDo you need an Internet connection to play it?
ОтветитьI’ll be the first to say, I bought the game after it came out but I dropped it after the first 2 hours because of all the bugs and I just didn’t feel all that interested because it just felt empty. Will definitely be playing it again now though thanks to this video
ОтветитьSuck to pay the online fee for the console every month
ОтветитьI have too reload the Game every half hour. Still buggy as f..
ОтветитьI’m thinking of buying it because it’s currently on sale in the PlayStation Store, and this review helped. Thanks!
ОтветитьTry it !! Came back & it’s a blast !
Best community & the camp building is addictive
fallout 76 was always good to me
ОтветитьPittsburgh is in Appalachia numb nuts
ОтветитьGood video. But stil not buying this. I would like a more classic storybased game
ОтветитьYou simps are ruining gaming, this game is garbage! Thats why the sells are so low! Yes men left and right, go play fortnite or whatever childish crap you play.
ОтветитьGame was ruined when pvp got nerfed it's a wasteland of sunshine and rainbows not the unforgiving war never changes we remember, Lordzebra was the pvp guru on xbox that guy made the game fun
ОтветитьThankfully the pre-requisite for the Pitt has now been removed.
ОтветитьJust got this game today!
Ответитьim thinking about getting this
Ответитьive been wanting to try it on pc... but starting over from scratch would be rough..i was like lvl 300 ish and had first for a while. my biggest issue is i need a wasteland buddy to start with. not someone already lvl 400 or something.
ОтветитьI want to give it a try again but I feel like I'd be so far behind the curve in the game starting fresh would suck and be overwhelming. I'd rather play solo games
ОтветитьTbh this is my personal opinion I think it’s decent it’s not for everybody but with the addition with NPCs and more quests it does feel a lot more alive and worth while I exploring the waste land there is still some bugs here and there but small ones I’ve encountered only major thorn in my ass is that power armor will sometimes glitch when you get in and have you get stuck while your holding a gun and the rest of the hud such as quests disappear only way I’ve found a way around this is fast travel but this bug isn’t the most persistent I’ve had it happen 4 times in the last two months and also the game does have a nice a beautiful land scape and I love the unique West Virginia local criptids as monsters
ОтветитьThe game is alot different from what it use to be when it first launched. 76 is definitely worth a second go around if you haven't picke it up from launch as it just have much more value to it. I just wish they would bring back Nuclear Winter
ОтветитьHaven't played this since a couple days after it launched, think ill try it again
ОтветитьWhat kind of stupid fortnight shit are they doing
ОтветитьMain issue is that you still have to play the story mode online…
ОтветитьIve met NPCs resembling humans more than the guy reading the script.
ОтветитьI just started playing a few weeks ago with my brother and I never really considered how fun fallout would be with a co-op parter.. it really is a great time I recommend giving it a go
Ответить
