moral of the story for the Japanese, don't thrust the westerner 100 %.the westerner are phobia with the asia.😁
Ответитьthe western don't want the Japanese to compete with them dirty western tactic.typical westerner phobia of asia.😁
ОтветитьNooooooooo 😭 they should have preserved it in a museum! If it had succeeded, it still would have had to deal with the notorious unreliability of the P&W Geared Turbofans - but the SpaceJet airframe had so much promise!
ОтветитьThis is a horrible video! You repeatedly say that there where problems but you never name them. This content could have been contained in a 30 Second video!

I am surprised no one sees and understands the true state and potentials of this project. MHI did indeed make a lot of mistakes by failing to build a rock solid initiation stage (speaking project management term here) before proceeding with the plan and execution. What this means is that a lot of costly changes were made even after the design had been frozen. The biggest problems encountered aside from changing scope was that of certification. Eventually, the aircraft did attain Japanese certification, with the American FAA certification holding out, insisting and demanding a redo of its documentation for final approval. The development team had failed to keep a very detailed process of documentation, especially in the areas of electrical components. This became a certification nightmare. In all, these indecisiveness and errors cost a lot of time and money, making the project high risk and an unlikely candidate for profitability. Nevertheless, this is not the end of the story - the program has been frozen, not scrapped! And this for a smart reason - with the purchase and ending of production of CRJ program by MHI, this has left Embraer as the only available supplier of sub-100 regional aircraft. And what do we see? Even Embraer has suspended the development of its E2-175! Do you know why? They are all waiting for US airlines to decide on the new scope clause. A scope clause is part of a contract between a major airline and the trade union of its pilots that limit the number and size of aircraft that may be flown by the airline's regional airline affiliate. Once this scope clause is decided and settled upon, you will see these two companies (Embraer and Mitsubishi) move very decisively. Another advantage of the current freeze is that you will likely see some pent-up demand and eagerness on the part of airlines. And by the way, the reason why the prototype was scrapped was because it has become so much different from the latter productions would be, that it is essentially now a different aircraft (from future production models) and therefore useless!

ОтветитьUS & Europeans won't allow an Asian country emerge in the industry of commercial jets. This is an unspoken racism !
ОтветитьThis is sad 😢
ОтветитьJapan and South Korea shall join China C919 as supplier to have a higher chance of success of moving into higher chain supply line. That is the best they can achieved.
ОтветитьEmbraer the best.
Ответитьavertion to failure is japanese business culture, its weird mitsubishi cancelled it..
ОтветитьI think Embraer would like to buy one of them to their museum to laugh at them. They were so cocky when they started it all.
ОтветитьI was one of the engineers for flight controls system for this MRJ back in 2016, and it is sad to see how this MRJ story ends. However, my advice to MHI corporation is to converge on vertical integration of the company. If MHI was vertically integrated the MRJ (Space Jet) may have had a better chance of success, just my opinion.
ОтветитьCan you imagine that Japanese guy in charge of this program just getting destroyed by the Mitsubishi Board of Directors in every meeting. Poor guy
ОтветитьSuch a shame, cant believe it was scrapped at this stage
