Sir, I Have a GIGABYTE's GA- Z370HD3P motherboard alongwith a 500GB SSD, a 2TB sata HDD and a 16GB hyperX RAM and Intel Core i7 8700 Processor.

I am also installing a 32GB Optane Memory with it.

So, where is Operating System Recommended By You to Be Installed for superior Performance ?

So I have been looking into purchasing and building a new 'gaming' oriented machine to replace my 2-year-old budget build, with the implementation of the M.2 drives becoming more affordable and with obvious speed improvements I was curious if there is a need for these for my intention on my new build. I am looking to fit my new machine with all WD drives and would be looking to run my OS and popular games from a SSD but would I notice a good enough performance improvement if I ran these through a M.2 card?

Also, with the 'Black' series being your fastest drives for my use, is there a plan to release a 'Black' series SSd/M.2? Any ideas that people have and any info I can get would be great.

Damn it... the controller is BGA.. Go PGA like some of the corsair models!! Do you realise how frustrating (and commonplace) it is for the BGA to disalign??? I've had to reflow several drives because these drives tend to heat up when copying large files. Only recently learned to remove the drives from their metal casings and put them in a custom fit rack with a fan to prevent this. (ya screw the warranty sticker). But none of my PGA based drives ever experienced these problems... please consider PGA controllers in the future, they're a godsend!!!

Finally they are catching up to the trend. Hard disk drive are no longer wanted by anyone.

I seriously thought Western Digital was on the edge of bankruptcy since they had been producing hard disk drive for a long time instead of coming up with their own SSD.
