It is important to note that Rare did have a lot of freedom at Microsoft, and Nintendo apparently didn’t buy them because of their recent games not doing well. Check the @Facts_About_BK Twitter about this stuff.
Also something else to say is that Nintendo probably would’ve left it to die. Alpha Dream is proof of that.

Why did rare have to die like this

When I played diddy Kong racing on the DS I thought I’d get to play the squirrel it was my favorite character but I returned the DS game childhood officially dead 💀
Microsoft does not know how to make games with cutesy animal characters we will never get a good banjo or conker game unless Nintendo or Sony buy these characters but that’s never gonna happen Sony knows how to handle cutesy characters towards an adult audience I’d really like to see what they could do with conker

Rare Returns to Nintendo?

Unfortunately Sea of Thieves didn’t bring back Rare in the way many of us wanted to. Apparently the game has gotten better, but at launch it was fun for a few hours but a tedious grind fest afterwards.


I just want Nintendo to buy back Banjo-Kazooie at least.

(sigh) If only a time machine is invented (which is what I wish to invent), someone (like me) would go back in time, and make sure:
-Universal Interactive sells Crash Bandicoot and Spyro to Sony Computer Entertainment after the PS1 Crash and Spyro games
-Nintendo purchases Rare 100% completely to make them their first-party developer anytime before 2000 and prevent Microsoft from buying Rare and it's IPs from Nintendo
-The Sega Dreamcast and even Shenmue 1 & 2 sells much more units so that they would've had stronger sales, that way Peter Moore wouldn't have discontinued it and it would've lasted longer like the GameCube and PS2 did, we would've had Shenmue 2 & 3 for the Dreamcast and maybe PS2, GameCube, and PC in the U.S. back then (I know the third one has been in development since June 2015), and we would've had the Dreamcast 2 by the time the Wii and PS3 were released (it would also be backwards compatible with Dreamcast 1 and maybe Sega Saturn games), and of course, if the Dreamcast lasted longer like the GameCube and PS2 did, all games that were released only on Xbox systems would've only been released on PC (which I don't mind).

I want all the video games fans can play "Donkey Kong Racing", "Banjo-Threeie", "Conker's Other Bad Day" (this game was the sequel of "Conker's Bad Fur Day", and in the plot of the game is when Conker gonna make a quest for revive his girlfriend Berri since she was killed in "Conker's Bad Fur Day") and "Diddy Kong Pilot". If Rareware is still with Nintendo, they can make more games for the GameCube, GBA, DS Wii, 3DS, Wii U and Switch and they can make games like "Banjo-Fourie" and others
