The YZ250 is timeless. Great aftermarket support. Parts are easy to get and in stock. SSS suspension is fantastic.
Ответитьwhere is that track to walk
ОтветитьI got a 98 kx250 and it's faster than any bike I've ever had and I've had lots in my 50 years 😮 I'm having a problem with shifting and brakes because I'm not used to wearing boots 😢
ОтветитьThat bike screams along and it ate up those jumps. I wonder if this bike can power a headlight taillight so it can be made street-legal.
ОтветитьI own a 2 stroke 50cc moped and easily it pushes 60mph so no surprise 250 does as well
ОтветитьGreat video Derek. I was totally looking to get a YZ250 but lately I'm thinking it's too much! I'm not bro enough. Its been years since I rode, last bike was a CR125. Might go 250F.
ОтветитьBeen 20 years since I've ridden- I was grinning ear to ear. TY!
Ответитьis it better and more reliable than sx 250?
ОтветитьI have a 2017. Fast as fuck. Sending it off to be bored to 315 soon 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
ОтветитьAfter months of research, I’m finally going with my gut of a YZ again I want to stroke I don’t wanna fucking four wheeler four stroke engine if I’m on a dirtbike and I want that rush. I know it takes work but I want the rush and I want the sound and the smell I got to have a two-stroke.
ОтветитьYOOO UR RIDINF AT ROBERTS TRACK N TRAILS WWWW
ОтветитьIf you ant mixing gas you ant slapping Ass
ОтветитьIs it faster than 450?
ОтветитьWhere is this track @Derek ?
ОтветитьI wish everyone could have the chance to ride a dirt bike at least one in their life
ОтветитьYea I'm straight the F up jealous at this point
ОтветитьIf its comfortable in 3rd stay there all day bro, make that power-valve work!
ОтветитьUnderestimating a 2T will always end in one of two ways. A: you get embarrassed by the hornets nest of fury you unknowingly unleashed,or B: You truly tame the beast and become for-ever enslaved by the other worldly high that is man kinds greatest invention.
ОтветитьDAMN That track looks fun AF!
ОтветитьCompared to the 2-strokes in the 80's, 90's, the YZ250 is a de-tuned bike with low compression. If you know any engine building, it is easy to get more power out of it.
You should study how the clutch was used in the corners back then for riding 2-strokes, (250cc and less displacement), and you can learn to shred corners instead of just riding around them. The 2-strokes will not win pro MX against modern 4-strokes on today's fast MX tracks, (a 450 makes about 15-20 more hp than a 250 2-stroke), so I won't even bother. I want more low end power out of mine, and the mods I wm going to try is 1) FMF Gnarly pipe, 2) Lower the cylinder .5mm for lower exhaust port open duration and more compression. 3) V-force reeds with no spacer. 4) maybe advance the ignition timing a bit, (to the mark if not there). 5) Get the carb jetted well, 2hp for a stock bike even.
If you buy a 2010 head, it will have more compression than the later models, and is the same as taking .0085" off the gasket surface of the later heads. I will not do that because I am lowering the cylinder.
The stock YZ power curve is made to try to keep up with 4-strokes on a fast track, (also why they put a big front brake disk on it), and that is not happening.
I also lowered my seat by 1", and my suspension by .75", pulled the handlebars back so the ends of the grips are pointing down, set the rear sag between 95-98mm, for much better cornering. That bike may be the tallest bike made, (terrible for cornering), and I have never seen so many slow riders in the corners as I do today, (go-pro vids).
Jetting??? Curious
Ответитьif the other Japanese had continued to produce and continue their 500, it would be monstrous
Ответитьfortunately Yamaha continues their 2 strokes, I hope for a long time to come
ОтветитьBest bike ever made. For anyone and any terrain.
Ответитьthis guy has the most stable neck i've ever seen
ОтветитьIsn't it funny Indian makes a Metro cruiser and all of a sudden they're like something special when the Japanese had big. Four have been making metric cruisers with liquid cooled overhead cam engine for a long time almost 40 years
ОтветитьA brand new YZ250 with a Lectron carburetor on it is one badass reliable 2 smoker.... Maybe the best you can buy... I only ride japanese motorcycles I apologize for any inconvenience
ОтветитьThat track is so perfect for a 2 stroke
ОтветитьIs this that trail where that Hispanic guy got knocked out
ОтветитьNow try a RM250
ОтветитьDon’t moded 250s make like 55hp on a dyno?
ОтветитьMy YZ250 was stolen last year and I will not ride again until I find another 2-stroke for the right money. 2-stroke is the king.
ОтветитьI think the Yamaha YZ250 is the perfect bike for Colorado trails and enduro.
ОтветитьYou don’t realize how big these 250s are bro I’m 6’0 and I stand on my tippy toes😂
ОтветитьI could watch these videos all day
ОтветитьMy dad has the same bike only a 22 and I can ride it
ОтветитьYZ's for the ages! I've had KTM, Husky, Honda and still love my Yamaha's!
ОтветитьKlotz Super Techniplate anyone? 👃🏻
ОтветитьFuck I miss my
Kx 250
I had one of these as my first bike during a mid life crisis . “Rip your arms off “ is exactly how I felt !! 😂
ОтветитьAaaand they sound better and smell better. Can’t go past a 2 stroke.👍🇦🇺
ОтветитьThat bike built to rip and not be in poweband all time makes you faster i have 01 cr250 tom morgan motor that they make managable how many people can ride a bike like that to its potential?
ОтветитьWell yeah, that’s a two stroke man hundred times better than any 4 stroke
ОтветитьThose yz250s will kick your ass.. my son got a brand new 250 ktm, couple months latter got an 02 or 03 yz, bike had a wrench rabbit crank, etc. Top end.. that fucker was wicked fast, it took out my left knee 😂 not respecting it... faster then the ktm...
ОтветитьTheres a good reason so many of the older generation/era riders hold such a place in their heart for the 2-S.
ОтветитьNothing compared to a built banshee or quadzilla i reckon. Unfortunately the glory days or 2 strokes are over. Thanks government
ОтветитьFunnest dirt bike ever made.
ОтветитьI will forever be a Yamaha rider
Ответить
ОтветитьI had a KX125 when I was a teenager and I dusted a 5.0 Foxbody Mustang in a drag race. 2 strokes are way faster than 4 strokes.
I always like ATVs better though. I had a Honda 400EX.. It had a higher top speed but in a short drag race, my dirtbike was faster.
To this day I still want a Banshee 350. I'd get one but I live in town now and have nowhere to store it.
To me, the Yamaha Banshee 350 is the king of everything off road.. I'd kill a Ford Raptor in a Banshee on an off road track..
We used to ride like pros when we were teens. We'd watch videos of them doing jumps and stuff and we could do all that too.. The only difference between them and us was we didn't know how to become a pro. That's how I always felt about that.
Man, I've climbed hills so steep on my 400EX, my tires weren't even touching the dirt half the time.. You get that thing in 2nd or 3rd gear, stand up and put all your weight towards the front end, hold the gas wide open, and hope for the best.. Hill climbing is super scary..
