When I first started out as a complete noob (now I am just a noob) I lost count of how many times I got killed by griefers. I became paranoid whenever I saw another player getting close to me on the radar. Then one day I just had enough. I saw a helicopter on the radar flying in my direction, and I thought 'not this time, mate!' I equipped my rocket launcher, fired, and to my surprise, I actually took him down. I felt some kind of satisfaction from this. But woah, turned out the guy I downed was someone carrying cargo to their business, and he did not really appreciate me taking him down. The next 10 minutes or so I spend my time getting killed by him, respawning, getting killed, respawning, getting killed... I was not able to escape his wrath, so I had to physically switch off the console to get out of this. The lesson I learned was that if you grief others, you better be good in what you are doing.

I remember a moment where I decided to destroy some dude's single cargo bike, just to see what happens... 2000$ and 500RP in exchange for blowing up what might have been hundreds of thousands is so appalling... Like, there's nothing to gain in doing it, so why do people do it so much? It's basically a similar scenario to how in an apocalypse, there will be groups of people, who instead of focusing on surviving together, will go out of their way to hunt and kill what remains of their own kind... It's senseless violence, perversion and degradation. But, in a way, the cargo griefers gave the game a solid risk factor and an enemy that you can fully use your rocket cars and war machines against, unlike fragile npcs. In a weird way, griefers made it slightly more fun for the more PvP fueled players.

Yeah, griefers were why I completely stopped playing GTA online. I don’t care enough to pick it up again just because grinding can be done without cargo griefers anymore. Life is too short to grind in a video game. Would rather grind in real life and play games that are more like fun and less like chores.

The easiest way to counter a mk2 abuser is simply by using a scramjet, toreador or deluxo (if u have one of them and know how to dodge the rockets with the deluxo)
