It really is. Gnome Cunning gives you advantage on all INT, WIS, and CHA saves regarding magic and Barbarian give danger sense. This means you have advantage on every saving throw in combat.

I wish you would say the race names out loud at the beginning of each segment... I listen to a lot of content while working to keep my mind busy and this was very difficult to follow on audio only.

These changes feel weak to me, real weak.

But, I LOVED having my mountain dwarf Wizard with Medium Armor, a Battle-Ax, and the War Caster feat!!!

I like how they gave humans a feature with special flair and zing. They’re still all around average, you know how it is, but at least they’re no longer boring.

Every fucking day it gets harder to avoid furries in online D&D games. Still hard for me to accept that, don't know how to.

I played Halfling Rouge for a while and it was a dreadful OP on first attack and hiding. It was a DM headache on when surprise attack can be used. Maybe not so nerfed?

Half breed. I'd say that I might have a homebrew to make it more fun.

You get a +1 level adjustment. You take the average of both racial features. This works for height, weight, and lifespan. You'd add up the number of racial abilities/spells and then divide by 2. You can then mix and match racial abilities/spells up to the number provided from the average.

I'd have to spend some time checking for major balancing issues. Certain racial mixes might come with greater level adjustments.

Not a fan of ability scores not being tied to race. I like that the backstory is way more relevant, but that doesn't mean that race shouldn't affect abilities. If anything I'd rather just import the 5e ability scores over top of these new races and backstories.

Could you please do one on the classes? I'm curious to see if they have updated the Monk. I just don't understand how they don't have Dodge as a bonus or reaction... They have fast movement when they go all natural armour, but then they can't dodge attacks without spending a ki point... Yet a Rogue can?? Even though technically a Monk should be able to do so as they are pretty fast.
I would love to see it as a reaction ability.

I feel like they should actually give half-dragons (that's what I like to call Dragonborn) Darkvision, and I feel like relentless endurance would also be pretty cool for them, but I don't care if they were to have that.

Deleting half-elf and half-orc with a pseudo half-everything that is non-existant since you just copy one of the parent is incredibly idiotic, that's just deleting not adding. Just like with dragonborn, that's not simplifying that's deleting. Everything is not simpler it's poorer, every one are the same, with empoverish sub-races.
Since Van Richten and Fizban, who were really light, Strixhaven was boring, out of place (no I won't buy magic cards for fuck sake), and unbalanced and now the joke that is Spelljammer in 5e, I really have no more faith in Wizards for D&D.

...um.. I don't mind the additional damage with the breath weapon but I liked the PHB Dragonborn. 2d6 is better than 1d10, 30ft line or 15ft cone is great and Dexterity or Constitution save just makes sense... although I could see some breath weapons using other saves like intelligence (Emerald) and strength (Sapphire).

I'll definitely take the things that I agree with from One D&D. Overall One D&D is pretty good, agree with some things and disagree with some things.

Being able to be a half elf anything, but taking away a lot of the subraces makes no sense. They've really made some questionable decisions. I get they're focusing on the customizability, as homebrew has always been huge, with 5th edition literally supporting it, but it feels more like a gimmick. Not to mention they just came out with a fair amount of content, and this is sort of retconning that still new content. In all honesty I'm just waiting for the Phoenix Sorcerer to finally become official content, and I'm probably going to stick with 5e content.

But you still get fay ancestry as a half human half elf got to read between the lines.

Mixed race has been ELIMINATED. OK, you can choose any APPEARANCE of the two, but that is pure flavor. Mechanically you are a single race. Period.

Humans got a HUGE NERF.

Inspiration means NOTHING: It is now given out like candy and all it is is Advantage on a single roll. BFD

VERSATILE is a JOKE

Now EVERYONE gets a feat, which automatically reduces the power gain of a second ONLY FIRST LEVEL feat. JOKE.

No darkvision, no innate spells (of which they get MORE on leveling?!), no tremorsense, no flight, or any other benefit other "races" (species) get. ANY ONE of which DOMINATES over one damn 1st level feat.

I created a system for mixing races, basically the same, and it works better. One DND is so much horse shit it's not funny.

The reason for the Elf in the Player’s HandBook not having the trance proficiencies is because all three of the Elven lineages are from the material plane
Elves like Eladrin and Astral Elves have that ability as they’re deeply connected with other planes

To be honest, I don't feel 5e needed improvement. The new version seems fine... but why? I mean Spelljammer basically just came out, and even without the supplements 5e felt pretty solid compared to 4 or the slosh of math that was 3 and 3.5

In some DnD version, there was introduced the Phoenix Sorcer Sub-class. Can I play this class only in that edition or in every dnd edition?

This is encouraging me to go to path finder. It's free while this seems like a lot of changes for a lot of hassle and a lot of new purchases
