v1.3.1 has been recalled by Inkscape. Don't use it if you use spirals, stars or boxes. A fix is on the way.

Good one! But does it work with only English alphabets? The separation. Glyphs: I tried to place a set of non-English alphabets on curved path on the inside of circle and there was uneven gaps between the letter's baselines.

Really handy, thanks for the info.
The new version seems to have some bugs though:
Warning: do not use this release if using stars, spirals or boxes! They are not saved properly. A fix is underway

Brandon, I have successfully punched the text out of circle after it has been wrapped around a path. There are dots between the words but what ever way I do it it will get rid of already done text. I asked you along time ago and forgot the workaround. I did try Object > Mask > Set Inverse.
