Excellent recipe! I am going to attempt making this soon! My wife is of a Ukrainian background and we make all kind of Polish food. Thank you. Subscribed!! Chef John El Hanafi
ОтветитьI always ate-and still do- the sweet " głąb " part...love it!Looking forward to making this recipe...Dziękuję bardo, Anna!
ОтветитьIt took me almost 15 minutes to realize that my mom used to make this dish. It took that long because while you give the cabbage a fine dice, mom's idea was a rough chop. Also, she didn't use any spices, but like you finished with bacon, onions, and roux. I'll try my hand at it!
ОтветитьEdit.” Your “ ughhh
ОтветитьYou’re Polish hamburgers and boiled potatoes,
I’m ready! ❤️
As always - this was just EXTRAORDINARY! I Love cabbage cooked all ways, but this one is a keeper for sure. Thank you Anna!
ОтветитьNice show Central Wisconsin USA Northern Part Thanks Dave
ОтветитьI like you guys - You seem pretty REAL!!! My mom (sicilian/arab) learned and made most of these dishes from my polish/czechoslovakian paternal grandmother. So good to see you - passing onto my family. GBU
ОтветитьTwoj polish language jest chyba lepszy od tego ktory uzywasz czyli English. Zacznij mowic po polsku I’m sorry 😢
ОтветитьI just found your program. I love watching you polish recipes. would have been nice to have a CLOSE UP of what the Cabbage looked like when it was finished. It was hard to get a good look of the cabbage and ingredients on the small plate from a distance. Glad I found the program and I'm sharing it with others.
ОтветитьIs Czarnina still a thing?
ОтветитьI'm in a wheelchair, so I have to wait for someone to get the ingredients, but you can be sure, I will be making it soon.
I like to make red cabbage with leaks and beets for Wigilia. Can you please share your recipe?
Thanks in advance.
God bless you and your family. And Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️.
Oh, Anna you are the greatest ❤️! Can't wait to try this recipe 😋. Thank you so, so much 😊!!!
ОтветитьHey when did Anna join the navy? She’s got a mouth like a sailor😂
ОтветитьI'm sure my dad used to use caraway seeds at the start instead of dill, but he died when I was very young
Ответить"Screw the kids" slams the like button even though I like most of your videos anyway, that was the moment in this video for me lol
ОтветитьI come, originally, from an area of the midwest that had many ethnic Polish & Hungarians Although my paternal grandmother was first generation American, she never cooked Polish dishes. Enter my best friend whose family was Hungarian & his mom cooked any & all things Hungarian & Polish.
What I learned to cook from her, among other things, is fried cabbage & noodles. To this day it is a fall staple at my house when the cabbage crop is ready. I still make my own fresh (not smoked) Polish sausage because I can't buy it locally.
Never mind😄👍
ОтветитьA drop of vinegar wouldn’t hurt
ОтветитьWow, those cabbage cores would probably be good pickled!
ОтветитьThanks, making this now…looks like a yummy dish!…verdict? Awesome flavour!

ОтветитьI'm a simple man, I see the chef drinking beer on camera while cooking, I click SUBSCRIBE !
ОтветитьAnna, I love the commentary while you made this dish...I have dreamt of kapusta zasmazana since an elderly Polish woman made it for lunch at a Legal Aid Clinic...I was drawn to the smell of it cooking and could not leave until I tried it.
ОтветитьVery nice.
ОтветитьWow, this recipe looks incredibly delicious 😋 I can smell the aroma. Very well prepared, big Like

ОтветитьI’ve worked all day and coming in to make supper. Look in the icebox to see what I have. One kapusta and a pound of bacon. 👌

ОтветитьI'm new to your channel. Thank you so much for for these videos. My Great Grandparents were from Warsaw. They passed away before I was born. My grandfather was Polish. So, very few foods were passed down and the language barley spoke because of my great grandmother. I'm the only one who took interest In the foods and now the only one who can cook the food. So, I'm learning from you. So I can pass these foods down in the family and our heritage is never lost. Learning from you I fill like I'm honoring my heritage. Having a book is great but im old school. Seeing it perpaired much better. Its like when i make my polish soup. You have to see to fully understand and appreciate. Thank you so much for these post....
ОтветитьI just found your channel. This looks so good
Ответить'Dumb Ass'
Funny!
i like how you leave the peppercorns in the dish. I do the same with szechuan peppercorns and it makes for a nice surprise :) Cheers from Austin, Texas.
ОтветитьIf you put the spices into a cheesecloth and then add them to the dish, they are very easy to fish out.
ОтветитьWatching this video has my mouth watering and wanting to come to your house 😋
Thank you so very much for making these videos reminds me of my Baci and Mom
I will definitely try this recipe
ОтветитьMy dad's side is Polish but I didnt grow up with them, so I love your channel so that I can learn how to make the dishes he grew up with. He has been telling me how good kapusta is, so I am going to bring this dish for Christmas!!! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьPachnie az tutaj.😀.tak wlasnie gotuje.Wesolych Swiat i Szczesliwego Nowego Roku⭐
ОтветитьI want to mention a funny language thing that had to do with that core of the cabbage. My family are Russian speaking Ukrainians and in Russian they call that cabbage center “Katchaan” (Качáн). Could be some Turkic word. The word is absolutely different from the Polish word for it, but actually it is also used to refer to some people as knuckle-head, dummy, noggin’ etc. meaning some stubborn or dumb person’s forehead or top of the head.
Ответитьcan this dish be made meat-free?
ОтветитьYour fantastic and I love your tattoos 😍❤lolz
