There is also several varieties of reishi native to north America which are have almost exactly the same properties as lucidum. ganoderma tsugae , ganoderma sessille, and ganoderm oraganese. Interestingly their territories cover most of the US.

So far so good, been a year taking reishi. And I am on bp meds. I think reishi helps keep my bp normal with the meds. Because meds weren’t getting it down.

I appreciate the video. I received 30 tea bags in a wonderful box with literature touting longevity vitality and much more. I was also told by the one who gave me the gift that each tea bag can be used 20 times. What?! I have never reused a tea bag but have heard older people reusing tea bags and storing them in aluminum foil. I think I will stick to Costco green tea and Costco Matcha - EGCG is well documented. Again, much thanks.

I hunt my own Reishi and make a dual extraction (alcohol and hot water). Id never buy an OTC, premade mixture or product.

For me (and this is totally anecdotal) but i did notice my sleep improve and generally feeling better over all. Granted, it could be just a placebo effect (or the extra exercise that im getting lol). However! For me personally, the extraction did have an effect, though it took about 2 months to really notice.

Ive never had any stomach issues from it. Some people just have a hard time ingesting mushrooms in general, even just as a food. Inhave a friend and he cannot eat Maitake (Hen of the Woods) without getting an upset stomach.

Reishi Spores are really beneficial. Combined with the Fruiting body, it works. I know this is anectdotal, but it definity helps my sleep. All of my liver function, and CBCs/Lipid panels are perfectly normal. I take Maitake, Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Chaga, and Reishi(with spores). Im more focused, clearheaded, and have more energy. I already had a good immune system, but I'm sure it's improved too.

Doctors never give credit to natural remedies simply because they are out on making money out of sick and dying people. So sending the population to natural remedies will make doctors broke. Science has failed us in alot of ways medically like chemo therapy a deadly approach for cancer, this is because our bodies reject chemicals and accept more natural remedies.

i know a place with these huge ones, you can stand on them, they grow commonly on dead vertical dead pine trees and rarely on horizontal, they are of a grimy looking white human skin/bees nest color
Rarely grows solo, they stack right ontop of one another
You can stand on them, they're as large as the trunk and as hard as softwood, any idea what they are? They have the same figure as reishi but i've seen them growing up to 2 meters, as large as the trunk

Thanks for your video on Reishi. It has a long history and is considered the king of herbs. It is important to make sure that the maker is actually the manufacturer and is not just bottling and labeling the product the best way to ensure this is to check that there is a GMP certificate this is both expensive and a full check of the growing ,testing, packaging and all the procedures involved. There are two components to Reishi ganoderma and ganocelium [ Reishi is the Japanese name, Latin name is Ganderma lucidium, and the Chinese name is Ling zhi . There are various species which have slightly different constituents
The Malayian brand i have been taking for 12 years consists of the top 6 species mixed and works well for me.
The ganocelium is the stem harvested after 18 days which does the calming and balancing of systems the ganaderma which is the fruit is 90 day harvested which does the de-toxing and healing. Both are condensed down from 20 kilos to 1 kilo.
With regard to funding i think you are correct that research on Reishi /Ganoderma is of bennefit to the Pharma industry as they supply 90% of of the research money. Some of the best studies come out of the far east as it has a long history there such as Japan,China and Malaysia. In Japan it is used in Govt oncology system to reduce the affects of Chemo treatment i.e. Hair loss, damage to the immune system, and nausea.

They've got plenty of research, they just aren't willing to release it to the public. Scientists will say this doesn't work, and at the same time try to replicate the chemical structure in order to replicate the benefits.

To clarify, one case study involved a 47 yo with fatty liver who consumed 3-750ml bottles of vodka. So the odds of liver health were already stacked very badly for this patient. What is thought to occur as well is gandoermic acid down regulates an enzyme needed to metabolise alcohol. So with the down regulation, compromised liver, and abnormal amount of alcohol consumption, it made it all too easy for alcohol to harm the liver to the point of acute injury. However there are a few other mushrooms known to be bad to mix with alcohol such as shaggy mane and king stropharia. The same research publishers also published an article on how reishi can be liver protective only 10 years prior. And other studies have found no liver toxicity at doses no higher than 1200mg per kg of body weight. Also the point of the article was to highlight how we don't understand supplement interactions rather than blaming reishi as a cause of liver toxicity. So far, I think it would be safe to assume that mixing reishi with alcohol is a bad idea, especially in large amounts. It's also unnecessary to consume a large amount of reishi, any possible benefit that might be obtained is likely only needing small dosages.

Yeah I'm sorry to tell you but reishi mushroom is widely studied throughout China Japan and some of Eastern Europe. So I guess if you're only looking at Western sources yes it's not widely researched in the western world but that's because we like to make money and push this stuff like medicine and opioids on people. If you could read Mandarin or Japanese or Vietnamese you would actually see thousands of studies that have been done dating back to ancient times to present times showing that there is massive benefits to rishi and almost no negatives. Definitely hitting the dislike on this video. If you're going to speak about this stuff really know what you're talking about.
