What can he do to achieve this without the higher power part?

People always think of drugs or alcohol in addiction. But overspending is also addiction. And complex. I do believe inner work is key to overcome all addiction. Also, taking it step by step. Implementing spiritual principles.

For those who dont know: There are also 12 Step Program communities online, for free, and open for everybody. There are specific programs for specific addictions. Not only drugs but also for example pornography, mastrubation, sex, love and relationship addiction! Just google for it: Sex Addicts Anonymous or sex love addicts anonymous

All countries in our world should listen and reform their way of approach when it comes to foods and everything we put in our mouths, like kindergaderns, schools or even pritave lifes....but it is also the Elite..the rich people with "power" who must be stopped..who decided how the less rich people should live..the sad thing is that everybody will see an increase in their lives of lower living-standards.. the rich will get all the best foods and the rest will struggle to get by the year..month..week and even day. FUCK THE ELITE!!

I’ve come to the realization that as an addict who turned thoughts, behaviors, and substances into an addiction…they all had one thing in common: Dopamine. I later realized I was also for years, as someone who was never diagnosed as schizophrenic, for some reason I was prescribed dopamine inhibitors. It made the synthetic dopamine hits that much more addictive, and the maladaptive behaviors I indulged in, including not just using drugs. But seeking drugs, were all quick dopamine hits. Where naturally occurring dopamine is gained over a longer period of time. (I.E. Meditation, Prayer, etc.) I was, in conclusion a dopamine addict, who all along required the ability to retain their own dopamine supply, naturally, and when the ability was restored, was able and to maintain sobriety though the worst emotionally devastating event in my life. (I lost my fiancé while separated from an overdose, praying he would get sober, too…and he never gave himself the chance.)

Yes, there are many ways to kick the habit, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever is what worked for me, best shortcut I go’ogled that took days without withdrawal.

I just quit drinking recently. It is a process that I’m willing to take! Keep pushing to that someone that needs to hear this.
