Would you categorise the East India employees as illegal immigrants?

Negatives given, leaving out the substantial positives of colonialism in India.
Are we surprised?

In my country Bangladesh the name Mir Jafar is synonymous to Traitor. No one names their children as mir jafar. And I must mention that Robert clive is the most hated british person in my country. Your take on Nawab Sirajuddaula as murderous is based on falsified history. Also you forgot to mention that a large portion of the force were under mir jafars command and they never attacked the colonial mercenaries. As well as the french had only 3 artillery pieces, nawabs forces had the rest of the artillery pieces.

You really need to go back to Portugal and the 1500s to explain this properly. You also aren't pointing out the Hindu vs. Islam rivalries that pushed Southern India to side with Europeans (notably Portugal) in anti-Islamic Alliance. Portugal took over the Indian ocean and eventually the Pacific due to diplomatic Alliances with Christian Coptic Ethiopia and Hindu India. 75% of the manpower on Portuguese ships in the area was from Africa and India. Europe already had a presence in India before England arrived and England fought these Europeans for India. Basically Europeans took advantage of Hindu anger at Islamic Dynasties like the Mughals.

When you talk with people who are die hard anti-colonialism you tend to get to the point where They acknowledge yes the preexisting circumstances may have been horrifically oppressive but it wasn't done by people who don't look like you

I think most individual people who went to actually colonize didn't do so with poor intent, their lives probably sucked ass already and they were trying to go somewhere else. The rulers and military leaders on the other hand... well there's not much defending them is there? All things considered it is crazy we have gone from 90% of the population being in basically unliveable conditions to where we are now. It's been extremely fast too, but there is still so much to be done, so many roads aren't built yet. I've only really seen the world going up throughout history, and im sure it will continue. If climate change is mostly subverted and countries start being more cooperative with each other im not sure anything could stop the human race other than time and entropy

How generous you are to your countrymen saying that they didn't mean to pillage India and then murder the natives when peacefully marched for independence.

calling this a private company is a complete joke.
1) a publicly traded corporation is by definition not private but public. it literally says so in its name.
2) the government granted it a monopoly just like that. if that's not a government favor i dont know what is. you or me couldnt get that, which makes it close-state from the very beginning to say the least. and considering only government owned companies and the government itself ever had a real monopoly on anything noteworthy, this is just another way the british government tried to hide its tracks but really being behind it all.
3) taxation isnt sth private companies can do, only governments
