These Final Smashes Will NEVER Return

I never understood Luigi’s final smash lol

I loved the Final Smashes since they also kinda balanced some Low Tier Characters like Ganondorf or Little Mac out with Final Smashes that can kill at low Percent and deal immense damage

Not disrupting gameplay, says the people that put in a FS based off a ten minute cutscene.

The Landmaster Strat was to do your best to get someone standing on top of it, and just carry them to the top blast zone. 😂

I am still of the firm belief that most of the changes to final smashes were due to the vocal competitive players, competitive players are pretty annoying to me especially with all the conditions the game has to meet to be “fun” for them, but to each their own I guess

brawl game play suck but atleast the final smashes were unique. Luigis hippie bubble, warioman, giga bowser, landmaster control, giant game watch control. In ultinate there all smimilar video packages.

I think the reason why control was taken out is because they took too little skill to use and can make the worst player godlike

I wish there was an option for what final smashes you get. Like on option you get the controllable ones like: Giga Bowser, Giga Mac, Controllable Volt Tackle, or Super Dragon.
And the other option you get their Ultimate final smashes.
It will never happen but it would be nice

There's no chance of original FS's to return (spoilers beyond this point), because if you choose to get the true/canon ending of World of Light, you defeat the source of the Master Hands, which control the characters.

The Wolf never had land master in the original starfox series

But giga Bowser, and the others were really cool
I’m glad they changed Pikachu Pikachu’s in sonics but I kind of wish they will have to like land, master and stuff

Pichu in sonic was understandable because you end up just being an easily avoided orb

Final smashes are inherently uncompetive, and that's ok. I hope going forward they go back to being crazy over the top rather than try to fit into the competitive scene

I liked the old games’ final smash, the ultimate final smashes were made to have the game continue faster, but that’s just… bad

i never liked transformation fs BECAUSE i grew up with brawl and sm4sh when i was 4 and i was always terrible at them and controlling them so when i got ssbu it was easy to me, ESPECIALLY pikachu’s

Ultimate final smashes: haha let’s just give him one where he gets the opponent in the air and does lots of attacks and does the final one that slams them down, totally a creative final smash

the bowser punch felt more like a galaxy reference than yoshi's island because of the pose he had while floating.

ultimate was geared towards competitive gameplay, and they stayed it themselves in one of the trailers that everything was "STRAIGHT TO THE POINT".

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY 90% OF THE FINAL SMASHES AGE COMPLETELY AUTOMATIC AND HAVE QUICK ANIMATIONS OR CUTSCENES.

THIS MAKES SENSE, BUT IT BROKE THE GAME.

FINAL SMASHES USED TO LITERALLY ACTUALLY REQUIRE SKILL TO PULL OFF EFFECTIVELY, HAVING TO ACTUALLY MANUALLY CONTROL YOUR CHARACTER, MANUALLY TRIGGERING ATTACKS, AND AIMING SHOTS!


BUT NOW, ALMOST ALL OF THE FINAL SMASHES REQUIRE LITERALLY 0 SKILL! YOU JUST PRESS ONE SINGLE BUTTON AND EVERYTHING IS EXECUTED AUTOMATICALLY! SUPER FUCKING LAME!

8:33 Am I misunderstanding this? There were 2 Kid Icarus games before Uprising. The original for NES and the sequel for the GameBoy.

This is a year old video but I have to comment, I think Sakurai is 100% right about Bowser. I hate when villains in games, even a Mario game, are portrayed as goofy. They should feel intimidating to fight and goofy is the furthest thing from intimidating. My personal favorite portrayals of Bowser is when he the least goofy and the most animalistic.

I will not stand for this slander of the rush Donkey Kong does being talked down on. I was losing my fucking mind when I saw the rush, I absolutely love Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. It’s by far one of my favorite Donkey Kong games ever, I even replayed it for like the 20th time last year.

As a Woolly World enjoyer, here's my idea:
Yoshi and all other characters turn into yarn versions. Whoever's a decent ways in front of Yoshi, he'll stick out his tongue and eat them, turn them into a yarn egg, and launch them off screen.

This could also be done with regular yoshi, but I like yarn yoshi

Final smashes look cool and all but I'm convinced they added that feature in so kids that suck at the game can actually win for once

Wow Brawl is super awful. Also would have been nice to have a timestamp so you could skip the stupid sponsor ad.
