Oscarville was the African American town that destroyed and covered up with Lake Lanier, this is not progress. That's why those people have died in the lake. Those were the descendants of the 20 cemetaries.

My dad use to fish there with his buddies and they have seen the lady of the lake! They always go an uneasy feeling. They always paid respect to the water and never swam. Just fished. He use to tell me stories.

So all those melanated people who were unalived right b4 the building of Lake Lanier, and only that is seen is a non-melanated lady haunts the Lake; good story but I don't believe it

Out of All the documentaries I've ever watched this one hits deep and different and I'm sitting here with a eerie feeling just thinking about the souls that were heartlessly lost under water... But the divers are boldly diving down and did any of them not come back up or met face to face with any of the souls...😮😢

My sister lives close to this lake in dawsonville georgia went to this lake yesterday somewhere in the lake there is a underwater cemetery and the bodies are still there when the lake is full this cemetery can be found in 160 feet of water so you need special diving gear to go down there there is a dropoff near this cemetery that goes down to maybe 300 feet

I grew up on the shores of Lake Lanier and lived there for 35 years, and I never heard the back story about Oscarville until probably 5 years ago. However, everyone knew the lake was haunted, and my uncle and father both said they saw the Lady of the Lake numerous times when night fishing off of Brown's Bridge Road. Thank you for an excellent documentary!
