I’d sail with you any day. Those two photos were your destiny… wud love to learn from you. Very inspiring story ♥️
ОтветитьWonderful story... but I wish we had a tour of the interior ! 🧡✨
ОтветитьCongrats to Nikki for all the hard work restoring traditional sail boat. I was aboard a traditional vessel called the Anna Kristina, from Norway, back in late 70s in Gibraltar. I wonder if it was the same Anna Kristina in the film.
ОтветитьWonderful story . She will find a good home I'm sure
ОтветитьSuch a great story of effort and achievement history and changing times. I hope the dream buyer comes along and the skipper can stay on to her hearts content!
ОтветитьSo cool
ОтветитьBeautiful story of a beautiful soul - may you and Bessie Ellen sail smooth and safe and sweet for a long time. Bless your heart.
ОтветитьWhat unique & fascinating story and woman. I was totally captivated & inspired. I hope & pray that her dreams & desire’s & Happiness come to fully fustian. Keep the faith & dream’s alive. Best wishes to the old salt soul woman.
ОтветитьIf there’s any ghost’s aboard, may they be happy & tending the ship!
ОтветитьThis is important work being done here... the recording of life in any endeavor. How many people die without getting to share their lives? Every minute was fascinating. Some one once told me that, "Life is what happens to you while you were planning to do something else." Kudos to all those involved with this!
ОтветитьYah know your using a crooked iron on the deck ! It's meant for the garboard seam...only..
ОтветитьWow, this is beautiful
ОтветитьMakes you proud to be English. As long as there are people like this living in our islands there is hope.
ОтветитьThe story of the Bessie Ellen, intertwined with that of Nikki Alford is quite amazing.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing person, living on thin air and not needing a paid job! Wonderful! I guess the ship will be given away for nothing since she doesn't need money.
ОтветитьI would have liked more video of the boat.
ОтветитьQuite an extraordinary story by an extraordinary person. Heart of a lion!
ОтветитьIt was a cool story but you never showed any pictures of the inside the living quarters I was hoping you would
ОтветитьNikki sei una grande!
Ответитьwhat a lovely story thanks for sharing
ОтветитьJust sail the boat up and around Canada over there in Port Townsend. Ya know. Leo with Tally Ho and the crew there. Good people who know your boat. And then... You and the crew with Leo etc could return for that Fastnet race. Course there is Maine and etc here on the east coast.💥‼Epic and incredible story.‼.💥Maybe you and Dee Caffari get together? Oh no no no ~ a different era. Right. More like Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp. Sorry. But still so amazing. Thanks (so much) for sharing this. ♥. .〰✨🌿😳🌿✨〰. New Hampshire
Ответитьfantastic story I could not turn it off had to watch till the end
Ответитьa tour arround the ship wouldve been nice !!!
ОтветитьWonderful. So glad I found this video. Wish you all the best.
ОтветитьOMG! Did you know Evan Logan from the Regina Maris who eventually purchased Alvei in Norway? He refit Alvei in Spain then sailed her to NZ and Oz. He spent the rest of his life aboard Alvei until his passing in Fiji just before the pandemic.
ОтветитьThank you for telling this story. Beatifull boat, hope it gets to sail on with new owners
ОтветитьWhat a dream.
ОтветитьFantastic story! Fantastic adventure! How I love people who have these kinds of lives as I have had myself
ОтветитьI don’t know if this person is female or male I guess a incredible old tall ship owner best description… Our choices define us. Interesting story.
ОтветитьHow did you pay for all of this?!? Surely, you didn’t earn enough in your brief stint as a writer. Were you just saving your wages?
ОтветитьBessie Ellen, methinks what a lovely lady.
ОтветитьI wonder if you know Nick the Fearless?
ОтветитьMy late partner knew Peter Blake. He would have loved your story...pity.
ОтветитьWHAT A WONDERFUL STORY. ALL THE BEST FOR THE FUTURE!
ОтветитьSalute to her.👏
People like her don't come anymore. Will be honoured to meet her someday inshallah.
I enjoyed listening to her story ...and then the rain sounds kicking in. And i was like, we need coffee.
ОтветитьNikki, hat's off to you and your rewarding, uniquely engrossing and hefty way of experiencing life --- kudos!
ОтветитьIs that a picture of a top sail schooner?
ОтветитьA lot of talking and not much showing the actual boat.
Ответитьjurnalist? fake news!
ОтветитьVery, very interesting. The dedication of Nikki to save Bessie Ellen is admirable, thank goodness for folks like Nikki to stick with such projects when they don't get the support from places one would expect it from, shame on Plymouth.
ОтветитьYoung people today want everything given to them. I never saw apprenticeship as working for nothing. I saw it as tuition. You were working for the education you were receiving.
ОтветитьWhat a great story. I was captivated. I wish her every success and good health in the future.
ОтветитьWonderful work, Thank you!
ОтветитьThis ship came into my harbour this early summer in Scotland. I noticed here and there, crew members cleaning up the boat including polishing up the brass on deck or simply sorting out ropes, just showed me how much the people onboard keep this ship in such great condition and I love to see that. Watched her sail off too. 💙
ОтветитьWow, great story.
Ответитьmy dream was seaman. i am 64 today. i want to have a job at your project.
i can cook korean foods. willing to do anywork dirty cleaning and all manual job.
i dont need wages only place for sleeping. i can sleep anywhere warmth and matress.
