Hello, Ms. Nicole! I'm just curious lang po if you invested in your mutual funds lump sum or peso cost averaging? I'm kinda confused kasi I invested in COL mutual funds and I am planning to do a monthly contribution, but I'm worried about the minimum holding period, let's say I invested Php 5,000 as my initial capital around January and it's holding period is 180 days and then mag-iinvest ako ng 500 sa February so on and so forth I'm worried lang po if that 500 pesos would also wait for another 180 days for it to be liquidated so bale po I'll be waiting for like another 5 months para po ma withdraw ko po siya? what if tapos na po yung 180 days holding period para sa initial contribution ko na 5,000 and gusto ko po isama roon yung 500 ko, but I cannot withdraw it along the Php 5,000 because it did not surpass the 180 holding period yet otherwise I'd pay the early redemption fee of 1%, huhu sana ma gets po yung point ko, I'm really kind of confused.

I wish i had known you before i got to invest in VULs. As an OFW i just trust the word of the FA and never fully researched. I have limited knowledge based on what i read online. And as single, i wish i just went into one VUL and invest in MFs and UITFs. Or just concentrate in MP2. Now that im for good na in Ph and dont know what to do, i study about these things about investment. Lo and behold recently just made my very first fund switch on my VUL since i got a PH phone number na. Damn OTP 😅. One of my FA have been telling me since the start of pandemic to switch fund in VUL bec the stock market is not performing well but i could not, since i dont have PH cp number. And now im learning about this diff funds that you can switch into. Your VUL investment fund is put in equity index fund by default. No FAs have told me about it. Even though they risk assessed me. It is for aggressive investors and i am not.

What are types of mutual funds?

Excellent explanations. Kudos ma'am.. but just to clarify, master-feeder relationship do not have double fees. Feeder funds are solely getting it's shares to the master but does not pay fees because of that.
