I wonder if it would be too ambitious to animate a feature-length 2D movie entirely with motion capture technology? Maybe the problem with the visuals in films like The Polar Express (2004), Monster House (2006), Beowulf (2007), A Christmas Carol (2009), The Adventures of Tintin (2011), and Mars Needs Moms (2011) stems from they're 3D.

When you see it here in video ! everything looks perfect but when we try its on own , not the same! Motion capture with Normal Webcam is failure concept.

for face motion capture, what is better the iPhone app or the webcam? also what is the difference?

I know I'm visually impaired and maybe I missed it but where did it say "PC ONLY" on that video? Does it say it somewhere in the description that mac users are being left out with this update? The leap motion does work well on a mac (although drivers / SDK are a little dated) and it's a shame that Reallusion saw fit to create a huge gap in platform support with licenses stuck on a single Mac (not cross platform). Don't get me wrong it's amazing tech and great development but you can't just drop an entire customer base (who own 4.2 live 2D) with such a key feature. I know the sales team often miss the ball with this stuff but a little more thought and care to the reactions of mac users is just common sense. This kind of stuff is sad as it takes away from the amazing work the Dev team have done and the obvious commitment to progressing the software and technology.

The only mocap device I have is my Xbox 360 Kinect. Unfortunately I can't get it working on iClone 7 and Cartoon Animator 4. The rest of the devices are too expensive.
