I had a similar noise, I thought it was of broken lamp or a capsule. But the noise problem was due to the humidity in my studio. More than 75%. I just put the microphone in a dry and warm room and the noise disappeared after 2-3 days.
ОтветитьThat's what you get when you use Warm Audio microphones! Bad construction (look at the capacitors stacked on top of each other!) and mediocre quality. This would not happen so quickly with a Neumann.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьSame happened to me on my WA-47 during a session. Tube maybe had 5-7 total hours on it. That wind noise and crackling sound was similar even after warming. The noise sounds a little like the way a sea shell sounds over the ear. Had to not use the mic on the session. Next day no wind noise but crackling sound. Contacted Warm and they sold me a new tube (different make than original) to swap out … it works better now but I’m still spooked that this might happen again.
ОтветитьI'd like to see the tube replacement. Good video!
ОтветитьYes please make a video please
ОтветитьFascinating !!! You used a good strong analytical approach to the issue !!! and it paid off. Thanks.

ОтветитьI like your vocal booth! Do you get a clean vocal recording out of it? Thinking about making one for my bedroom studio.
