It would have been better if u stopped a little bit more but it is a really nice video
Ответить😅😅😅 I don't hear any changes... Is it because I'm using earphones and android device?
ОтветитьYou’re the only person I watch when it comes to mixing, keep it up !!
ОтветитьA teacher once told me if you take away too much of a frequency, it creates ghost frequencies to balance that you don't hear but feel and is painful. Can somebody bring clarity to this for me?
ОтветитьCan I also do that in vocal mix
ОтветитьThis is such a great proof of concept, and a confirmation to me that after years of mixing things the wrong way (or misunderstandings) - subtracting the bad leaves behind what you actually want. If you have even a decent starting point, just remove what sucks, and what's left is usually the juice you're after. I've been mixing this way for the last two-ish years and it has done wonders for clarity and overall tone. Thanks dude!
ОтветитьGod has told you more information
Ответитьmy eq's looked like a piece of swiss cheese before I watched this video. :) ty
ОтветитьThat took a philosophical turn in the dying moments. Poignant.
Ответитьcan you please help me… i am so done please everything is hell i need this… how do i make my vocals more clear and not all choked and also how do i get them louder i have tried everything for years… i just can't please… my dreams are at stake and i'm lonely i've got nobody to help me… please
ОтветитьWhy would you remove decibels from the sections instead of moving the hertz? I have equalizers that use 4 sections, high, mid high, mid low, and low. Is that the wrong equalizer for boost and sweep?
Ответитьso helpful looking at taking stuff away, really helps me
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьYeah I've noticed that boosting an EQ band extremely will always sound bad to me. If I notice something without boosting, I'll take an EQ and go into the general area I think the problem resides in, boost maybe 2-3 db and sweep in that area until it jumps out at me, then make a small cut there. It really doesn't take much, and I don't go looking for problems if I don't notice any. It's better training for your ear anyway, and usually I notice that all the old mixes I did years ago with tons of EQ changes and plugins are the ones that sound the worst. I think this can be especially true on electric guitars/vocals. Get it right at the source, and you shouldn't have to make that many moves to get it to sound good in a mix.
ОтветитьGREAT KNOWLEDGEABLE CONTENT! Thanks man!
Ответитьso i just low cut? ba dum tsssss
very nice video btw! just learning to mix and ur perspective helps cos its an all around way of thinking it!
One tip, Is to raise the freq high, then back down. By doing this, you make loud the freqs you are adjusting so you can hear and identify what is being changed. I can hear slight changes but do this anyway, esp on mid bands. its good practice.
ОтветитьWhat is that vst guitar called ?
Ответить“Just take a step back.”
Ответитьsuch clear explanations😃
ОтветитьHey man! Its a best professional TECHNIC!!!
ОтветитьBeen looking for a channel like this 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
ОтветитьWhat you do with sweep boost is a bit unfair. The purpose of this technique is to look for this exact location of something bad you already perceive, not to randomly sweep to discover something wrong. Thid technique is fine to learn where to look but after some time you should be able to know where is the problem without even sweeping, that is for ear training, a professional is not supposed to still use that. Besides, the reason I do not like this technique is that by boosting again and again during a session, you make yourself lose track of a proper sounding so fast. You need to take constant breaks so that your ear starts to hear correctly what is bad and what is good.
ОтветитьThis is so helpful to me, thanks a lot!
Ответитьspan doesn't work.
Ответитьthx :)
ОтветитьCan we have an EQ for voice over only !! Not everybody plays music.
Ответитьwhich xlr cable do you use?
ОтветитьThanks for this great tutorial! 👍
ОтветитьGreat idea to use subtractive EQ to find problem areas and improve the sound. Makes much more sense than the boost-and-sweep, which just identifies problems from too much gain in a frequency. In "hindsight", it seems so obvious.
In any case, fantastic content. I will be joining today! :)
Perfect ♥️
ОтветитьYou are my favorite audio tutorial channel! Your style is so wonderful: informative, calm, succinct... oh and so darn good lookin'. 😍 Thanks for all the vids you put out. Really helping a late-starter like me. 😎👍
ОтветитьYeah this was cool..Thanks bro
ОтветитьDo I need to view your videos with a studio headphones to understand?
ОтветитьDo reasearch on whats emotionall quality in google
ОтветитьI watched tons of mixing tutorial videos and you are way more specific, understandably celar about what you're doing and why and you give gentle advices. And an irrelevant detail: you don't shout while speaking, you're chilled, you make me chilled and not stressed about when the time will come when my mixes finally sound the way I want. You tought me patience and selfconfidence that I just need to practice more and spend time with it experiencing different methods. So you did me a huge favor! Thanks <3
Ответитьvery nice
ОтветитьMEqualizer from Mela Production also has that bell soloing feature, is the auto-listen button and is also free
Ответитьwhat's that intro song
ОтветитьThank You Bro 🙌🙌 Very Helpful Video🔥🔥.
ОтветитьWhat's the software used in the video?
ОтветитьHi, im new on mixing. If I can't hear a change when you move the frequency, may be that my headphones are not good for mixing ? Using the sony wh-1000xm4. Is not not that I bought them for mixing.. but I already had them.
ОтветитьSir, are you all right sir! Thank you for video! By the way, what kind and size of bandwidth for second equalizer is!?
ОтветитьOr, sometimes there actually is no problem. But we boost until we create one. 😂
Ответить3 years later still great advice, been doing music almost 20 years and just now learning you can always learn how to do something else from what your use to doing you got a new sub today bro
ОтветитьPlease I need the free version of the plugin
ОтветитьThe biggest tip I’d give is if you must sweep frequencies, do it in the context of the full mix. Never make any decisions when a track is in solo
ОтветитьPenis
ОтветитьMaybe it's my headphones, maybe it's me...
I can't hear any difference whatsoever when you adjust the eq.
