…here is another tip thank me later …this is to make your uni stronger ….like way stronger …..after you flick around 4-7x (I like 7 ) loop it through the eye of the hook ….then back through the hole lick the knot 🪢 pull both sides until the knot goes firm onto hook …I hope I err even said that correctly ….but by doing so your taking part of 2 knots…(if I explained it correctly and you get it right ) and you try and break it 😂 seriously don’t you will hurt your hand trying and cut into your fingers it’s that tight..it’s insanely strong…

Go through the eye twice, makes it even stronger of course.

Some people cross the mainline with the tag end when forming the loop and others keep the tag end on the tag end side. Does it matter as far as knot strength is concerned?

I’ll keep using the Albright… it’s thinner and faster to tie ….

THIS IS THE EASIEST FASTEST KNOT I KNOW AND USE BUT THE PART ABOUT THE LOOP HAD ME CONFUSED. IT MAY JUST BE ME BUT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A SEPARATE FULL LOOP BESIDE MY LINES.

Does it work with braid?

You can have that knot , the Trilene knot is a much better knot simply because it has a double line trough the eye of the hook and the Uni only has a single strand through the eye .

Triliene is way better. passing through the eye twice is double strong

You're doing it backwards you run the shore and threw the hoax I bring it up about 4" and keep twisting until there's about 8 loops then finish the knot in a bowline loop

This is the way.
When you need to tie a knot in pitch dark with no light this knot is the winner.
Once I found this one I rarely tie any other.

I know a knot but not the name
take a loop, feed it trough the eye of the hook, wrap the loop around the line and the tag 2-3 times, then feed the hook trough the loop, pull on the line and it's done

I think this is a pretty strong knot, but I'm terrible with names
