Grew up in San Francisco, on a hill. One time we found a tire, and guess what? Yup, "hey!, wut if someone gets in it, and we roll it"? I was always the one that some kind of way. Would get talked into doing crazy things. I agreed, but said, "you guys gotta stop me after a short run". You ain't stopping a tire, with someone in it. Especially on a rather steep hill. I remember my arms/legs slapping the sidewalk. Didn't even have time to worry, when I went into the street. They did say, "Wow! must've went, atleast 10 ft in the air. After hitting a Volkswagen Battle, coming up the street. I was more scared, thinking I was in trouble. Happy to be running away, with my friends.

The REAL fun method is to do this in just a tractor tire tube, no harness, no helmet, no seatbelt. We had to hold onto the outsides of the tube with our hands and push against the opposite side with our feet in order to stay in it without bouncing out. The ride was a lot more fun because the air in the tube took up all the shock, but it did tend to bounce a lot more. And this was30 years ago. Old school.
