I don’t recall being scared of this part. But I would be if I was in their shoes. Even if you can’t resist the art deco look of the Emerald City.

Judy was so amazing as a performer. Her "Dorothy" will always be the role that changed everything for her & stayed true to her spirit even in those rough times. Always makes me sad about how MGM and her mother treated her and us causing to leave us too soon. Can't believe last year she would have turned 100!!

You know Dorothy's a country girl, cuz they're sweet but if you're being bad they'll call you out on it. Dorothy straight up lectured Oz saying he should be ashamed of himself!

This movie is going to be 85 in September. I remember being obsessed with this movie when I was six and I got the 75th anniversary dvd.

There's something so fascinating seeing a movie like this which is now 84 years old, wow! Everyone in this movie is long gone, I mean.. world war 2 had only just started. Yet here I am, watching this all these year's later. Just fascinating

In 1939, this had to have blown everyone away

The way the Scarecrow stumbles forward and falls to his knees … it really looks like he’s made of straw. That body language is so realistic. nobody but Ray Bolger could’ve played this role.

Don't be afraid, everything is going to be alright. POTUS done met DOROTHY, now the OZ knows the power of US!

I don’t understand why Scarecrow is so scared in this scene when he said to Dorothy when they first met that he is not afraid of anything except a lighted match.

This movie always scared me as a kid

I think I watched this when I was about 7 and this scene scared the bejezus out of me. It has stuck in my mind for years, event now aged 10 I'm scared watching it.
