Great video. IMO Obsidian gas really shot past Joplin, it's incredibly flexible and you're not locked in since it's all Markdown files.

linux is a total waste of time. its just the difficult, bulky and trashy way to simple things that are boring to do on windows.

I tried it and it's good-- but I can NOT GET it to let me watch HISTORY CHANNEL-- and I have to have that... everything else worked fine.. ANY IDEAS???? I tried changing the security settings- and even disable the ublock and the built in security stuff- and it still wouldn't work on LW.... I'd LIKE to use it- if i can get that fixed.

bpytop, having been written in Python, is not super quick or resource-light. It might not matter to most but on my 11 year old netbook where even htop takes 5% CPU this is crucial. The same author has now released btop written in C++ and it's blazing fast and resource-light. More so than even htop, funnily enough!

Really appreciate that list, will try them all at some point, I'm sure.
Especially Thunderbird is something I have been looking into replacing, when they bring in politics it makes me very concerned, regardless of whom politics it is. Same thing with firefox that used to be a main stay for me. I ended up changing it for Vivaldi that have its own chromium related issues and also is very heavy to run compared to FF.
