I have to agree. I’ve been doing this for years. The only thing I do differently is I hold onto the lanyard while I attach the safety chain and just pull it out when I’m done, just gives me that extra peace of mind. I can pull the lanyard of anything goes wrong

Hi Jet Tech, I just watched your tutorial on loading & unloading a jet ski. It is easier with a multi roller trailer. if you watch any videos from America about their trailers, they all have flat board guides. they make it so much harder too load.

Huge tip for backing a trailer. Open the hatch or drop the tail gate. It might look dump but you get a much better view, and you add all of your cool point back when you back all the way from the parking spot to the water without any bobbles.

I found this information very helpful. Moving to Florida in a few months, and planning on getting a Jet Ski.

Yamahas were built sperior to seadoos junk carbon seal. A yamaha can run out of water easily 2 minutes, been doing that for 20 years warms up to make an easy start in the water under load.

Don't overthink it. Just start backing slowly and make small movements and sync up the direction you want the trailer to go.

Great video, but because the trailer has rollers instead of bunks, it comes off the trailer much easier. This is misleading to someone trying to replicate what you are doing if they have a trailer with bunks.

Good technique never actually thought about running it in fwd only con to this is sucking up debris as your in shallow waters and the fact that you’re washing out the bottom or the end of the boat ramp causing a deep rut. Over time that rut is gona end up being a drop off and I’d hate to drop a trailer axle in it!

Best trick I found for reversing when retrieving …. Drop the tailgate to see the trailer 👌👌👌

Leave your jet ski attached to trailer and head out on water. Save a ton of time when you return
Tip #2
Don't listen to Tip #1 as I don't own a jet ski

Don't launch your ski this way! He's in less than 2ft of water when his engine is running! People......DO NOT run your engine in less than 3ft of water!! It just can cause soo many problems. Especially with an open loop cooling system.

TIP: for beginners trying to back a trailer. If your reversing and notice to much trailer in your left hand mirror, go left hand down on the steering wheel. Same for the right hand mirror, to much ski? right hand down. When your straight go back slowly and use small movements on the wheel to keep the trailer straight. Most importantly DO NOT RUSH! when you start to rush of get flustered accidents happen.

Why do you need to leave it on when taking it off the trailer? Just unhook it and let it roll off the trailer into the water and grab it. Also, leaving it on when putting it on the trailer is also stupid. The advice in this video is stupid, unnecessary, and dangerous advice. Never leave the ski on in the water with the key not attached to you, especially when it’s completely unnecessary like in this video.

Most people are not launching like this and are having to tie off to a dock.

Great video. One thing to note in some areas if there are rocks around your ramp backing off may cause you to suck something into your intake. Tend to just push mine off here for this reason and push it out before taking off. You obviously don’t have the same issue where you are your ramps look pretty clean

Easiest way to launch a jet ski: push it out to the curb on garbage day. Done!

Great video ! Good facts … but be aware that on modem cars (you guys in Australia are forgiven because you drive shitty old designs 😂) you cannot reverse with the door open.

Nice video, but no one (especially beginners) should ever leave the helm of any vessel with the engine running and “in gear”. Makes sense with a roller trailer to keep it from rolling off, but that’s a good reason to not have a roller trailer. A traditional bunk trailer is much safer.

Some interesting techniques. I do a launch from a local bay. Didn't think of a ride on and idle then hook up.

Be never backed a trailer sitting on that side of the truck 😀. Might put some of the challenge back into it 😂
