My favorite parts are when X genuinely smiles when he says “I’m sure your brother would be proud of you” and when he looks down at the end with excitement knowing his brother has what it takes and will figure it out

Damn in this scene speed hella knew that was his brother . If you watch the whole movie and go back to this scene it's like it's always been there . What a great piece can't wait to look into it some more

I bet if they re showed this movie in theaters it would get some good money

I dont know why people hate on this movie so much. Its got some incredible acting, and there are some incredibly deep meaningful scenes and tones.

I loved this movie as a kid, and I love this movie as an adult.

This movie was so ahead of it’s time idc what anybody says the colors and acting were always fye super clean visuals especially in 2008 wyf

Criminally underrated, hell it has the potential to be a classic, but this movie came out at the wrong time imho, but back in 08 due to Iron Man’s release it heavily-shadowed over this, and the cast in Speed Racer was actually pretty balanced even John Goodman did a amazing job portraying Speeds dad

This movie was way ahead of its time

No one will ever convince me that the actor for racer x wouldn’t have made the perfect Batman/Bruce Wayne

I love how Speed lets loose.

Rex means King. Racer X (X-mas).
Played a doctor/healer in the series Lost, where all the people were already dead, stuck on the island.
Wanted in this movie to expose the corrupt ratrace of the world, where the house (apparently) always wins.
Had to 'fake' his death in a mountain cave to protect his family, comes back renewed (but hidden) watching his brother 'finish' the job.
Mary initially didn't recognise the risen Christ, thinking him to be the gardener
If this is not a type of Jesus exposing the lies, then i don't what else is.
It's a wholesome Christian movie with family, love, sacrifice at the forefront.

This is one of the best scenes in the movie imo. It allows us to see how much Rex still cared about His family and How far He was willing to go to protect them and help His little brother succeed.

When He heard what Royalton was doing to His family, He went back to their home with the CIB to help do something about it, even if it meant Him actually dying this time in a rally race. He definitely knew Pops wouldn't allow Speed to go but He went to get and help Speed because He knew how much Speed cared about His family and wanted to protect His family from Royalton. Rex also knew that even if Pops didn’t allow Speed that Speed would still come anyways.

Finally, his speech here shows how proud He was of what His little brother chose to do. He was proud that Speed chose to protect His family, even if it did seem like winning the Rally Race was pointless because of how it turned out. Rex wanted to let Speed know that it wasn't pointless and that He didn’t make the same mistakes. He wanted His brother to feel proud and happy for not only winning the race but sticking to His beliefs and doing what He can to help His family even if it meant possibly ruining His relationship with Pops. Most of all though, He wanted His brother to succeed. Rex didn’t want to see Speed give up because He knew how good Speed is/was. He knew that Speed could achieve what He couldn't. He knew that if Speed kept on going that He would change the racing world. And He wanted to see Speed succeed at it more than anyone else.

I guarantee if it came out now this film would’ve have done so well

I'm so pissed I didn't grow up with this movie. Now that I have seen it, it's already one of my favorite movies ever made.
