Im a few hours into my first permadeath playthrough. Im finding that almost every planet I have to go to has Hostile or Frenzied Sentinels so I think that might be part of permadeath mode. I think you'll also find most system are at some stage of war/fighting and the pirates will be all over you any time you try to stop and get anything done. I can't swear to it, but resources seem to be pretty much the same on permadeath, I had more trouble than usual finding decent starships. I never found a single decent crash worth claiming. You can still get a free multi-tool on the space stations though. Find a Vykeen in the "lounge" every time you go to a space station and on the second or third you should find one who takes your crappy tool and gives you a free one. Sometimes its really good, sometimes barely better than the starter pistol but still free. Also, you might pass up the crappy freighter when you get to the freighter rescue mission. Ignore that battle and move on. Try only to warp to wealthy systems after that and you will soon get another freighter rescue. It has worked for me in standard and permadeath and twice I have gotten max slot S class freighters by waiting instead of the crappy freighter I would have gotten if I had done that first rescue. Hey Jason a quick question went in my head, have you thought about a community base and if you have could you consider like putting it in normal mode. So everybody could meet up faster.

I shoulder boost all the time in permadeath.

i personnally love lifeless planets. The first time i saw one, i got amazed by the sheer emptiness. Made me feel like i was exploring our moon. Black sky, no sound, weak gravity, had to build a base on one. In an uncharted system of course :D

I love exploring on no man sky so I travel a good bit and with my frighter sad I think my game is buged due to having made my character when the game launched the coming back recently
